Spacious sites and clean facilities. I was in a hookup site (E, W). 30 amp worked well but the 120v plug wasn't working so I needed to move into a different site to fill my tires the morning of departure. Death Valley is amazing! I spent 4 days (5 nights) overall and was busy driving, hiking, viewing, and relaxing. I also drove ~1 hour to the east to Amargosa Valley area to the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. You can see wetlands, crystal clear water and pup fish there (no where to see them in Death Valley right now). I highly recommend Furnace Creek Campground and Ash Meadows NWR!

In the Furnace Creek campgrounds, site 43,45,and 47 asphalt is heaving. There is no way you can level your site. The dump was closed during Martin Luther Kings holiday weekend. Poor planning. All water was turned off on the Wednesday after the holiday. Gee, could you make it anymore difficult.

Stayed for 4 nights late October - great weather in mid 80's to 90. Great location and sites are flat w/nice concrete pads. Sites go fast here so book early. Stock up on grocerys - nearest super market is 45 minute drive away.

Campground is nice, but note for site #45 if you have an RV to level out and want to be toward the back of the slip, the asphalt is heaving pretty bad. We were ok due to having a 20ft van, but we had to be pretty far away from the hook-ups to get our rig level. Also, this site was VERY dirty from the last campers there and it looks like they used the water to wash mud off their equipment and left lots of rags and such all over. Also the picnic table was quite dirty and we had to wipe it off to use it.
We understand the campground cannot control whom all stays and how considerate those people are, but we would have liked a clean campsite for our stay.

Very windy the first night and the power went out but they restored it by morning. It’s a nice campground!

Loved staying at this campsite! Next time I come to Death Valley, I plan on trying to camp here again. Location is perfect. You're so close to the Mesquite sand dunes, Artist's Drive, Badwater Basin, and it's pretty central to all the other ends of the park. You've got a general store and a gas station close by as well, which is super handy. Camp was really quiet, and we had some amazing night skies. Our first night a neighbor had a bright light on their RV all night so we had to walk a bit to get away from that, but we didn't have to walk far to get complete darkness and some great skies for stargazing. You really can't go wrong with this camp.
