For a dark sky park, my only complaint is too much light from surrounding campers.

Spots are a bit close together and pretty wide open, but great location and surroundings.

Nice campground conveniently located close to the visitor center (saves time trying to look for parking there on busy weekends. Clean bathrooms and campsites. Loved the water stations. Huge campsites as well - was pleasantly surprised by how large of an area we had!

We love Furnace Creek! Even though it is predominantly dry camping, you can dump and get water. The sites are clean and spacious and the people who tend to camp there are very friendly.

Bring your own water and bathrooms arent great. But the night sky is beautiful and sites are clean.

Furnace Creek Campground was surprisingly pleasant. Parking for an extra vehicle can be inconvenient since there are very few spots other than your own spot to park in. All vehicles must remain on the paved roads. One of the dump sites was out of commission so there was a small wait at the only other dump site nearby. Make sure your fuel tanks are topped off before entering Death Valley or you'll have to buy fuel at twice the normal price at the one and only gas station in Furnace Creek.

Campground had all the basic amenities. Toilets were clean. Drinkable water taps were there. We had an amazing and peaceful time here.

This is a well maintained and well situated camping site.

In January, we found it to be clean and quiet . The only thing I wished was metered faucet in toilets to run for even a few seconds with one push on the handle

Great campground with clean bathrooms and deep tubs to clean dishes. Unfortunately, we came around the time where something was wrong with the drinking water and it needed to be treated before we could use, but other than that, 10/10 experience! Bit hot though.

Why are there giant groups everywhere? The entire walk-in tent area was taken up by a massive group of motorcyclists. REI had a commercial trip with 10 tents jammed into a single site. Apparently group size limits don't matter.

All campsites are very crowded in together without much privacy. The campground however is very clean and well-maintained and it is dark at night for a great view of the sky.

I enjoyed the camp ground but.... they have a policy that no vehicle or trailer can park off of the pavement (not even one inch) and many sites despite the website description do not have space to park your tow vehicle. Within 20 minutes of arriving while we were setting up and unloading our truck next to our trailer, the camp host and park ranger threatened us, "move your truck now or they were calling the police"...Really??? I asked why the camp hosts vehicle was parked in the dirt in front of her trailer and they refused to answer. Nice double standard!

Ranger Juan was extremely helpful and nice. The camp host was strict and unfriendly.

The campground is conveniently located next to the visitor center and ‘The Ranch at Death Valley’ which offers food and groceries. The more popular spots are with a 30 min drive. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. If you are planning on tent camping like we did, there is nearly no shade and the dry ground makes it hard to anchor your tent. However this is not a dealbreaker.
If you are looking to shower during your stay, Stovepipe wells has a hotel that allows visitors to use their pool and showers for $5 per person, and is a 30 min drive from the campground.

The site was nice with some trees. The outdoor sink with several faucets made getting water easy. We enjoyed hiking the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes during the full moon, as well as seeing Zabriskie Point at different times of day, how the lighting changed the colors of the area. Go to Desolation Canyon for a early morning hike, or drive to Dante's View to see the valley from above. We would have camped longer had we known how much there was to do.

First time to Death Valley and Furnace Creek is such a central location. The spaces are a little cramped for my liking, neighbors close, but I only did an overnight tenting stay while there.

Clean restrooms, beautiful views, campsites are decently spaced, running water and near a golf course. Best campground in Death Valley National Park

It was our first time visiting Death Valley NP and camping at this campground. We definitely want to come back again and stay! The facilities were clean, there are flush toilets and "sink" locations to clean your dishes/pots. There are several restrooms located around the campgrounds. Our site (78) was big enough to hold our 6-person tent (just the two of stayed-we like space) and was shaded in the morning. Our site, I felt provided us enough privacy but enough to say "hello, how are you?" to our fellow campers. Night sky was beautiful and our hosts were present and friendly! Thank you DVNP staff! We'll be back :)
