I had an adventure filled couple of nights in the tents only section at Furnace Creek. The check in was efficient and friendly. The campground was clean and welcoming. As things were not too crowded, the rangers allowed me to swap sites upon my arrival, which was cool. The first night saw some pretty torrential rain, which was novel. The most impressive part of the stay came the second night when the winds that powered the Southern California fires came blowing through camp. It was an impressive amount of wind. I ended up leaving in the evening when the winds hit 60mph. While I didnt ask for a refund for the second night, I was given a refund, in any case. What a lovely and thoughtful gesture on the part of the park and recreation.gov. I am now a lifelong fan and will be singing your praises out in the world! Thank you!!

All good, minor incident for neighbor campers who had an intruder on the site they had reserved. After some biigerance the intruder left and went to occupy any site that had no one set up yet. To help our neghbor we went to the camp host but camp host never came to our neighbors site to reaaure them they wouldn't be harrassed again and the intruders managed to find a vacant site to squat elsewhere in the camp ground. I'm not sure how the camp host could have done anything except perhaps to call federal ranger to get the intruders evicted, (perhaps that is what should have been done) but think they should have at least touched base with our neighbors as the intruders did revisit them at some point later and I'm not certain what that was about.

My walk in tent site had shade and quiet, even with the neighboring sites occupied. Bathrooms were clean and close by. February was the perfect time to visit DVNP and I will be back and be happy to stay at Furnace Creek again!

We stayed in the tents only area (no generators allowed section) and we were very pleased with our site (# 134). Our site had some extra privacy thanks to some trees and shrubs. All our site neighbors were nice and quiet and friendly. Bathrooms were a short walk but not close enough for us to hear any usage. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Next to the bathrooms are big sinks for washing dishes (drinkable water).Campground is near the visitor center which was convenient. No showers but theres a sign that if you need showers you can use two nearby locations.Convenient to everything we wanted to see: Dunes, Basin, Artists Loop, Golden Canyon, etcAdding photos of site 134 plus others near it in case its helpful for others when selecting the right site for a visit to DV.

Our campsite was gross. Whoever stayed before us left a mess. But for the gross sticky beer left on the table and seeming spilledAll over the site, it would have been a nice campsite.

Tent only, so no pulling in your vehicle. A bit hidden with vegetation surrounding the site but too many other sites nearby. Overall it's a loud campground.

We had a good campsite. Some of the campsites looked a bit like a Walmart parking lot. Ours had privacy. All in all we we're pleased.

Close to beautiful attractions and good location for getting last minute amenities for your riding/hiking journeys at The Ranch General Store or at Farabee for an off-roading jeep rental. Would definitely stay again!! Had a blast!

I always enjoy camping and visiting Death Valley in winter. It was amazingly quite during this time of the year, March 2021, because of the pandemic. The bathroom at Furnace Creek was so so clean. Five stars for it.
