LED lighting over outdoor sinks would be nice. Could be solar powered too. Great restroom facilities

The campground is terrifically situated in the park, which is vast. Really study, though, the location of your campsite, as fellow campers are not terribly considerate in their use of the dish washing/water filling stations (which are noisy on their own, even moreso if people are banging their dishes around). These stations are usually near the shared bathrooms (which were kept incredibly clean). If you're driving an electric vehicle, the campground is 36 miles from Beatty, Nevada, which has the nearest high-speed chargers. Beatty is a primarily uphill drive. If you want to do the Ubehebe Crater hike, it's 50 miles, one-way, from the campground. Just prepare yourself for the investment of time to get there. The park map does have distances on it, but it's not 100% obvious.Park staff were friendly and present.

I enjoyed the individual camp sites at Furnace Creek. Last year, I reserved a group site and did not enjoy the site at all due to full sun exposure. The individual sites are clean and usually have tree coverage to aid with heavy winds.

This site is in the middle of the Death Valley National Park! We planned our days deciding which road we would go down and the hikes that were along it. We were there for three nights and tried to do as many hikes that we could that were open.

Great campground, very easy access to all the popular locations in Death Valley (Golden Canyon, Badwater Basin, and Mesquite Flats), and maintained very well for such a remote location.

Being in a tent in 90+ temperatures is challenging to relax and sleep. Also the tent area was sandy. Ground hard enough to hold stakes. This is Death Valley after all. Enjoyed the camping and the park. Will be back.

Good campsite with shade and close to restrooms and water. We had a visit from a coyote in our camp when we woke up.

Great campsite and facilities, attendants were helpful and access to plenty of water and good facilities. The wind was very strong and it should be noted that this is a very common experience if camping here. Other tents were knocked over and blown away by wind, and ours was shaken throughout the night, so bring good stakes and a means to secure them. There are some scattered trees that you can use as a shield from the wind, but it wont completely eliminate the issue. In addition, if cooking, have a means to protect your food from gusts of wind and dust. Bring a lid for your pans or cast iron, or have another means to prevent dirt and sand from ruining your meals. Also, plan if possible to bring firewood and kindling from the town of Beatty or another close-by area. The general store in Furnace Creek is as far as I know the only place to get firewood in furnace creek, and they charge a staggering $14 a bundle.

Wonderful to have a large open air washing station during COVID. It minimized the time spent inside the restroom.
