Great campground, easy access to visitors center. We had a walk in site and the walk was flat and easy from our parking spot. Will definitely camp here again!

Amenities were clean and great to have running water to wash dishes. We only spent one night, so it was all we needed. It was my friends first time camping, and it was very comfortable in terms of location, amenities, and people around us. We booked one of the walk in sites since not much was available, which is never as convenient but a great use of space.

This was a great campsite! We took one of the walk-in sites, which were lovely, it was nice to be a little farther away from the cars, but did find it odd that our parking space wasn't all that close to our campsite. A small matter! Otherwise, this was a great spot. And wow! Running water in the desert! It was such a huge help to have sinks outside the bathroom, made doing the dishes so much easier. Also, pro tip: if you're in need of a shower, or even a pool day, we were able to buy shower/pool passes at the Ranch for $14 a person.

Nice there was some vegetation around, with the option of pitching your tent between and under trees.

Good campsite. Wondered why we were next to a large group of 40 or 50 in the individual section and not in the group section. Fortunately, they honored the quiet hours.

Our camping site was 123 walk - In. We booked that site for 2 nights 02/20-22. The first night was great, no wind, a clear sky, and nice weather. But as the next day was very beautiful in the evening a dusty wind started blowing and it turned to a very strong wind that broke our tent while we were just falling asleep. It scared my kids. the tent was already started filling up with dust from outside although we had a nice tent Mount Hardware for 6 ppl. The wind outside was probably 26 mph. At this point, we couldn't stay in our tent anymore. It was unbearable. We decide to pack quickly and leave the campground and drive back home in the night. It turned into a bad experience. For sure our tent was in a windy spot although there were some small trees around, behind it it was an open expand space. Nobody from the rangers warned about this wind considering there is no internet in the park and no any wifi. It was pretty dangerous to stay. So if you choose this spot beware of the wind and overall in Death Valley the dusty wind. That dust covers all your belongings. We are used it with dust while camping but this was different, it was like sand and clay mix. Otherwise, is a very nice campground. There is a very nice visitor center as well next to the campground, Rangers to welcome you and register, and Drinking water sinks to wash your dishes. Plus the walking from where we parked the car was just across the parking, so wasn't big deal as we expected. The 123 campsite was also very nice as long as there is no wind as it is further than the campsites next to it. Be aware of the dusty winds. If you see something that looks like fog on top of the hills this is probably dust and wind coming your way down in the valley.

Major Issues

Extraordinary site near non-native tamarisk trees. Area was mostly uninhabited because of no-shows for weather (rain) related fear, Put your tent on the high ground as puddles do form in the muddy depressions. My only complaint would be that actual parking spot was a ways off the actual camping spot, but since most spots were empty, I was able to temporarily park and unload at a spot much closer to the camp location.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Furnace Creek. The campground was quiet, the attendants were very friendly, and the facilities were well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again.

Surprisingly great campground in the middle of the desert. All of the walk-in tent sites are next to trees that border the desert, so there is some shade and privacy from other campers. It was easy to find, every site has the site number painted on the fire pit.

The toilet facilities in the "tent only" campground were a disaster. The entire time we were there (two nights) the men's room was locked because of a problem, and the women's room had only 2 working toilets. My husband and I had to hike quite a bit in the dark (middle of the night) to find a usable toilet. We didn't pay for primitive camping.

We were wow-ed by Death Valley National Park and very happy with our campsite! Our favorite destinations were the Golden Canyon/Red Cathedral and the Racetrack (which requires off roading to reach). While the Golden Canyon hike is rather crowded, if you are comfortable with pretty intense scrambling then take one of the little offshoots to the left as the path starts, after climbing up a ways you will eventually reach an epic view of the red cathedral and surrounding rock formations.
