Holly Bay is a nice COE campground. Electric service and water pressure was good. We stayed on G loop, site was level and clean. We brought our kayaks, the weather was exceptional for late April in KY. Water was was very clean and clear, not a lot of boat traffic. Now for the not so great part, we took our kayaks down to the boat ramp to launch (hauled in the bed of my truck). When we got back we had a snarky note from the campground attendant saying that our truck had to be parked at our campsite. So from that one of us has to take the truck all the way back to the campsite after dropping off the kayaks and then walk back? and then walk back to get the truck after we are done? Not happening. Apparently if you don't have a boat trailer you shouldn't be parking at the boat ramp parking lot, kayaks don't count. There was one truck with a boat trailer in the lot. I did notice that the campground hosts had kayaks. But no boat trailer. Wonder if anyone ever left them a note.

Excellent camp ground, will come back.Only concern was the electric pedestal on our site 5G, we had 5 high voltage spikes in one day, with only running 10 amps on the 50 amp circuit. switched to the 30 amp circuit and was good. Hope they fix the 50 amp during ther down season.

We were in G5. There is a slight decline backing into this particular site which may scrape a hitch attached to a trailer (ours was an inch from scraping). Nice and quiet. Cell service ATT had 2 bars and was able to work and stream on hotspot. HINT: When going around curve - SWING as WIDE as possible. Someone had a boat trailer rip off both axles on this corner. Clean showers and bathrooms are about 100 yards, slight uphill from spot. Spacious lot, with nice tree coverings. Lower deck is roomy enough for a gazebo with an additional fire pit and picnic table. Would have rated five stars, but not really on waters edge. There is a self made path from the site to the water shore down a some what slight hill. The path also intersects with the hiking trail that goes around the lake. Camp hosts are the best and very helpful.

G 5 is an awesome site on the trail and pretty private that overlooks lake.

We enjoyed our time at Holly bay. There is lots of separation between most campsite and like being surrounded by the trees and viewing the lake from our site. There is nice hiking in the campground and the surrounding area.

Beautiful campsites! Stayed in #5 which overlooks the lake! Only for smaller rvs, you wont be able to turn. But only 1 tv station, and no wi fi signal at all. Clean shower house. Beautiful area!

We had an amazing week camping at G5 in Holly Bay. Holly Bay is a very well kept park. Clean and quiet. Our site was large and by the water. We enjoyed nature and the occasional boat passing by, along with hikers on their way to their destinations. Our hosts were very helpful with their knowledge of Holly Bay and surrounding areas. Our Hosts, Walt and Deborah, were truly into keeping up with the daily routine delegated to Campground Hosts. They enjoy what they do, their hearts are into it, it's not just a job for them. We already have reservations to return back to Holly Bay in September 2022. We spent our week reflecting on nature and just chilling out. Not many other campers out there that week, but it's still early. Time well spent, and we left knowing we'll return soon!

I love camping at Holly Bay.
My only issue is that there is a need to add another dump station. Most campers check out on Sunday and with only 1 dump station the wait is extremely long.

G5 is a fantastic site. We had the boat parked at the bottom of the hill. Great site, great experience. Not too close to the neighbors.
