I love Holly Bay, its our favorite campground and lake in the state. I do want to bring something to your attention that was really disappointing. We are kayakers and we have always parked our truck on the side near the ramp. This year, I got a call when we were out saying we arent allowed to park down there without a trailer. Our only option was to walk all the way back to our campsite to park. This is discrimination and I pay the same amount for my site as the boaters. I feel its totally unfair and I think the policy needs to be revisited. Id be happy to put on a different tag but the 20min walk to my campsite after being on the water all day was sad. This has never been a problem in years past. Please make a change.

The campground was very beautiful. The spot we had was a close ten minute walk to the lake edge. Each campsite was decently secluded. We were able to put our kayak in and enjoy the water. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot. I highly recommend Holly Bay to anyone looking for a campground in Daniel Boone National Forest!

Our favorite campground in KY. The facilities are clean, the space between sites is ample and the lake is incredible.

This was our first time to Holly Bay and we loved it. We loved the large sites and all of the trees for shade. The hosts were very nice. We cannot wait to go back!

Campground and camp sites are very nice and secluded. We stayed in the D loop. The lake is beautiful. The restrooms are in need of upgrades. Sinks are rusty and the “water saving” push buttons on the shower are a real pain. The water stays on for literally 5 seconds at most and shuts off. I have a child in a wheel chair and the shower was impossible to use for him as well because you literally had to keep one hand on the button to keep water on. They should be equipped with a hand held shower and all plumbing needs upgraded. . Needless to say, I bathed him in the camper. There are lots of hiking trails and things to see in the campground and Daniel Boone National forest.

We really like this location, very spacious lots with paved parking. This was one of the quietest parks I have stayed in. A lot of stuff in the area to visit and town is not far away.

We traveled from Ohio and spent 3 nights at this campground and plan to return in the future. The campsites offer great privacy and nice facilities. The sites are spacious and well placed into the wooded areas. The nice lake and hiking trails are an added bonus to this park and campground.
