Nice COE campground close to Cave Run Lake. Well maintained by Thousand Trails staff. Friendly and efficient. We stayed in Loop A and didn't check out any other loops, the sites in A were spaced far enough apart to give a sense of not being crowded and having a camping experience in the woods. Our site was one of only two in the A Loop that had water. No TV reception but internet was good with verizon.Shower house was really clean. There were two dump stations, but one was closed due to a clog (rumor). So we sat in line for about 30 minutes.

Nice campground. Beautiful lake. Trails in need of maintenance (very overgrown).

Love the trails the most. We also happened to have a spot that had water and was close to the bathhouse. We will be visiting again (hopefully in the same spot) soon!

The staff was very friendly. The beach is very nice, although covered in goose poop. The water at the lake is cleaner and clearer than any lake I’ve ever been to. If you camp in a camper, avoid site A035. It’s listed as a camper site but it’s nearly impossible for campers to back into and even more dangerous pulling out. Lots of safe roadways for bike riding and walking. Steer completely clear of all grass areas as it is all completely covered in poison ivy. There must be an issue with it within the forest because I’ve truly never seen more poison ivy. The campsites are wooded and private on A loop, that was nice. The shower house was conveniently located in the loop. All the bathrooms are private/family style, but there were only 2 bathrooms with showers on our loop.
