We have visited for many, many years and love this area - we were so grateful we were able to get cell phone reception right in the trailers now...AWESOME!!! So our visit was GREEAT!!!

The Rainbow Point Campground is our favorite in the state. Incredible access to the lake, huge sites and a great staff keep us coming back. Thanks for another great visit!

Great place! Some spots pretty tight for a triple axle toy hauler or behemoth class A -- otherwise plenty of room. Nice privacy provided by lodgepole forest. Can't see the lake from campsites, but nice flat, wide trail is only 75-200 yards depending on your site location. The view across the lake is beautiful! Campsite to lake and along the shore in a wheel chair no problem. 2 miles of lightly washboarded gravel road to get there--not bad.

Roads in campground are dust, flour fine dust, it got into everything. Enjoying a fire in the evening comes with a coating of dust. Roads had been mag-clorided in July but road was not bladed pre or packed post. Pot holes in road are extreme, impossible to drive around, unbelievable that concessionaire could get by with this level of neglect. Campground is largest in the area, so finding a camping spot is possible. Campground gets constant usage and shows the ware and tear that comes from constant use. If you need a place to camp short-term Rainbow Point will meet those needs, but as a destination to relax and enjoy the outdoors, Rainbow Point leaves a lot to be desired.
