This is actually not a bad campground. We had electric hookup and there is potable water available to fill your tank but no dump station. It is fairly convenient to Yellowstone-good luck trying to get a spot inside Yellowstone. We were also not willing to pay through the nose for a private park. The town of West Yellowstone is nearby and a great town with the entrance being just a mile down the road. There is a visitor center in town with park rangers available for info. The 2 star deduction is for the entrance road. It is a couple miles long. By the time we checked out after 3 nights we were really over the dust which hangs over the road and also seems to settle over the campground. Bottom line is if you are planning late in the game, this may be your best choice as it was for us.

Wish we could daily rate our experience at rainbow point but we were not able to get to the campground in time, so we let our site laps. Maybe next time.

Great campground. Had a power outage for one night which wasn’t awesome but not sure that was on fault of the campground. Would love to come back when it’s warmer to take advantage of the lake.

Quiet campground close to Yellowstone. Would return.
