Excellent location away from the US191 traffic noise. The stream is a plus for this campground.

All the lower loop campsites have creek access just few feet away. Lot of shade and privacy. Even though, site 4 is close to 5, there are trees and shrubs separating them and covering the fire pit and picnic table. No cell coverage in this area at all. Nearest place to get cell coverage is driving to the turnoff to Big Sky (about 10 miles). Overall, A lovely, well-managed and small campground.

What a beautiful location next to Swan Creek. We could hear the creek all night long, which was lovely.

I did my first solo camping trip at Swan Creek and my time there was perfect! I absolutely love this camp ground. Close to the bathroom, lots of bear boxes, trash containers, lots of space in between campsites. And I love the creek running through the campground. Ill definitely be back.

Weve camped here for the past three years with two other families and love it. Large campsites, lots of shade and a the creek for the kids to play in. While camping here, we love to attend Soldiers Chapel for Sunday Service in Big Sky. Soldiers Chapel is non-denominational Christian WWII memorial. Soldierschapel.org.

With the best White Water Rafting & Zip Line fun just 6.7 miles back up Hwy 191 & my favorite campground to warm up by the campfire we are sure to secure a space every July! The grounds are clean & well kept. Plenty of pull up space for your vehicles. Clean restroom area & well water pump.Did I mention A River Runs Through It? ( The Swan) to fish from during the day and lull you to sleep at night! Welcome to Montana where our standards are high & Swan River Campground exceeds those standards!

We stayed with 25 foot travel trailer in site #11 for 2 nights. A little tough to back in camper but great site with access to creek. Sites are spread out nicely so you are not on top of other campers. We took our dogs on road past campground and saw no other cars or people. While the road to the campground is paved, it is only one lane wide but there are pull offs if another car coming. Very quiet area compared to bustle around Big Sky.

Camp itself was wonderful, clean, mowed and maintained. Host was helpful and very present. Garbage always empty, outhouse as clean and stocked as one can be. We took the side by side up the trailhead. Very conveniently located. Several fishermen through with seemingly good luck. We went into big sky proper one evening and had a wonderful dinner in the meadow village. Needed to make a repair to our camper propane system and Ace hardware there had EVERYTHING. In years past have rafted and gone horseback riding. Its a bit busier these days but with proper planning still do-able. Very convenient to activities, clean, beautiful location, good access to trails and can get out of camp mode and have a nice dinner. Reserving is a very good idea but don't be afraid to drive through. There were a fair number of open spots during the weekdays. Highly recommend.

Peaceful, beautiful, clean and quiet campground off the very busy highway between Bozeman and Yellowstone. This campground is for you if you enjoy solitude. Every campsite backs up to Swan Creek and are all private due to vegetation. Sites 1 - 6 are smaller and better suited for very small campers and tents, while 7-13 can accommodate bigger campers. A campground we will return to. I removed a star due to the drinking water. It is drinkable, and tasted fine, however, it is an unappealing color with a lot of iron flakes. It stained our 5 gallon water cooler. The camper host told us it is tested monthly though.

Campsite and facilities were clean and although the sites are close, they're still quite private with the greenery between sites. Other sites had great access to the creek (we still had some), but enjoyed an open area within walking distance to keep us cool during the day. Close enough to town you can grab any items you forgot, if you'd like. Highly recommend!

Beautiful campground, very well maintained, and although close to Big Sky and Bozeman has a secluded feel. Swan Creek runs along the campground close to the sites, and there is a nice easy hiking trail to a part of the creek with some beaver dams.

We stayed at site #10 and it was amazing! All sites in the upper are awesome! Direct access to the creek and both sun and shade throughout the day. The upper camp is much more laid back than the lower campsites. This is one of our favorite spots!

Fantastic campground! Site #7 was super close to the rushing creek, great to fall asleep to. Less shade than the other sites. 8, 9, and 10 were not as scrunched together as I might have thought, decent amount of space between them, tons of shade, so those would be great choices. Also #7 might have been the only one without a dedicated bear box, but the communal one was a very short walk. Bathroom was super clean. Road was paved and easy to get around on. Tons of ants everywhere, not shocking but something to be aware of. Mosquitoes werent terrible but theyre probably getting worse every week. Highly recommend this site and anywhere in the upper loop! Lower didnt look bad but I didnt explore it.

This is a quiet and clean campground that is accessed on a paved road, far from the traffic in the Gallatin Canyon. The woods, the Swan Creek all add to the wonderful ambiance.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
