Camp host was friendly and outgoing. Site was flat, with ready access to the river right in campground.

We have been camping regularly at Red Cliffs campground since pre-Covid. The managing contractors decided during Covid to go solely no contact online reservations which was wise at that time. Still having online reservations post-Covid allows guests to reserve campsites and not show up. The rules state that guests must inhabit the campsite the first night and must not be absent for a period of 24 hours. Campsites sit vacant for entire reservations with no consequences while campers drive through continuously looking for a available campsite. Our first trip this year in June, almost a third of the campsites with electricity sat reserved and unoccupied the entire week. There are rules to prevent this but are not being adhered to.

Camped in the no generator section. Beautiful, level campsites in a gorgeous setting just steps fom the Gallatin River. Good space between sites, nice camphosts, clean pit toilets…a great stop in the absolutely incredible Gallatin River Valley. The Riverhouse, just north, is also highly recommended for bbq, drinks and fun.

Campsites were well setup and easy to get into. Bathrooms were well maintained. Camp host was readily available if needed.
