We love camping by the Gallatin River, you can hear the river flowing but you do also hear the highway traffic. FYI... there is no cell service.

Nice campground with many electric sites close to the river. RV trailer sites are gravel and mostly level, all the ones I saw were reverse in only. Check for the site length on the website as they do vary. Nice walking trail through the campground goes alongside the river without passing too close to any of the campsites. Vault toilets were clean and well supplied with paper. The hosts were welcoming and it was obvious they maintain a clean campground. Potable water is available via two faucets close to the site entrance. You can hear the eighteen wheelers driving by during the day, but at night and inside our travel trailer we were not disturbed by any road traffic noise. We will definitely stay at this camp location again in the future.

This campground was my best EVER experience at a Federallly maintained facility. It was preserved in its natural state, except for edging along the roads to ensure visibility of wildlife and children. The vault toilets were the cleanest I have ever seen. The hosts took the responsibility of protecting against disease transmission seriously. There was no odor whatsoever, and they were always well stocked with tissue and alcohol sanitizer.

The hosts were very accommodating and checked everyone in upon arrival in an orderly manner. The entire park was kept clean and safe by maintaining a 10 mph speed limit. Steve and Jenny were seasoned camp hosts; clearly with years of experience in maintaining the proper atmosphere. They were always easy to find and we're pleasant and accommodating. The other 3 day on - 3 day off shift of the camp staff was handled by an individual woman named Gwendolyn. I have to say I've never seen a camp host work as hard as this individual. She seemed to be the one that maintained the grounds expertly and mowed the curbs and the campsites so nicely. She clearly took pride in her work and was a great role model in conservation of our beautiful park lands. She made sure that everyone understood that it was best to leave treasures like the cave crystals and other natural beauty in place for all to share. Gwendolyn was so nice to all of the dogs and children at the campground. She even provided treats to the dogs upon arrival and left kind notes on the site posts.
One morning there was a stranded trucker waiting for assistance along the highway in the day area. Gwendolyn was kind enough to check on him several times to ensure that someone was coming to assist him and even brought him water and something to eat after waiting for hours to be rescued.

Overall, the staff provided a pleasant environment through consistently kind interaction with campers and ensuring that noise was kept to a minimum.

I highly recommend this site and the staff!

We always enjoy Red Cliffs. The sound of the river and the smell of the pines are lovely as is the absence of cell service and television.

Beautiful site. Great location with fly fishing, mountain biking close by and hiking trail head right there. Campground host, Lorrie, was fantastic. She kept the grounds and outhouse spotless and was very helpful in booking additional nights.
