This campground is perfectly sited right next to the Gallatin River, it's soothing sounds make a wonderful background noise all the time. The camps were neat and clean, the sites large and spacious, no one too close to another. Easy access, room to move.

When we stayed at Red Cliff in June the outhouses we're cleaned using bleach and stock with toilet paper and hand sanitizer daily. The camp hosts were very active in attending the camp. Though the current host is very nice and friendly there could be improvement in care of the camp.

The campground hosts, Jenny and Steve, seem really on the ball at first, but it turns out Jenny is overanxious about "ruining someone's vacation" by letting their reserved site go when they haven't shown up for a day. Or two days, or three or four. A site next to us sat empty all week. You'd think the concessionaire would be urging the hosts to fill those sites, as they'd get paid twice. It turns out, it was not a problem for us to move to another site for the weekends. So it's worth stopping by and asking if there's a site available, because there probably is. The other host, Dorothy, did not appear to do much on her two days work a week except clean the vault toilets late in the day. There's no cell, except possibly some AT&T. A couple in the south end had a booster and said they were getting a pretty good signal. We had nothing on Verizon or T-Mobile. We'd go down to the school/library where there were a couple open wifi signals that were pretty fast. We also got pretty good cell signal in the Big Sky village. We didn't get much up at the resort. Our visit was during the flood so Yellowstone was closed. The river was too high to fish. We did some short hikes. The campsites were pretty good but the construction traffic on the highway was pretty loud. The north end of the campground has better solar if you don't want to pay the extra $8 for electric on the south end.
