We chose our site based on the online map. Once we arrived, we noticed the online map did not match actual campsites. Online there were only two on our side of the road but in actuality there were five. You have to park in an assigned spot and carry everything a short distance to your site which was a bit different than we had experienced. There was a semi steady stream of cars which was strange for a Tuesday through Thursday. One big white loud diesel truck passed about every hour which was very annoying- we were camping to get away from noise! One can hear everything going on in all campsites- snoring, coughing, talking. Site was well maintained, pit toilets were clean but I doubt we will return here because of the noise and how close the spaces are to one another.

This campsite is beautiful with a lot of trees giving it shade. It located next the bathroom and water. The bathrooms were clean and didn't smell bad. Are large 3 room tent fit well at this site. It a great site for people with young kids Neighboring campsites are close by so hopefully you get quiet neighbors like we did. The lake is within walking distances but if you have young kids bring something to push/pull them in. Only down side is the shop that is by the lake was closed most of the time so we weren't able to buy any ice.

The campground is fairly nice and flat. There is running water and restrooms close by. I'm not sure I saw a Forest Ranger any other time than when we checked in. I'm pretty sure the restroom had not been hosed out in days by the fecal matter that was dried all over since we got there and campground rules are definitely not enforced. The campsite next to my 6 year old daughter and I had 3 drunk people in it that stayed up until 3:30am playing music, talking and getting wasted. No Ranger ever came by to say anything. Needless to say it was less than peaceful.

Camp hosts were unorganized at the check in booth. Tried charging people in our group, over again. And charged $10 a night, per extra car, instead of $8, as said in our reservation

We had an altercation with a neighboring camper who was aggressive, unstudied, and was carrying a gun. There were few other camper there and decided to leave because we feared this woman would do something to hurt us. The camp host was not located anywhere near us and we couldn’t find them on our way out. There was also no cell signal so we couldn’t call 911 to alert the authorities.

There was another host at the camp grounds that we spoke to in our way out. He offered nothing to help us. Just listened, told us he was off duty, told us to call 911 (acknowledged that there was no signal to do so), and try to find the hosts for our site.

When we were safely back home, I tried to update the reservation to cancel and possible report the incident, but didn’t find a way to do so. We didn’t stay any nights and we’re not able to get a refund. We camp often and have never experienced anything like this. We didn’t feel safe because of this other camper. We will not be traveling to this camp grounds again.

I would appreciate receiving a refund for this reservation so please reach out to discuss.

Thank you,
Lisa Wallman

Such a great place to camp with my family and friends. Clean facilities, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. We love being at this area, so much fun! I’m not a fisherman but there were many there fishing and catching dinner fir the night. Quiet at night; relaxing during the day We will be back next year for sure!!

When we arrived, our reserved parking spot was taken by someone else who had too many people in the same group of sites. It took 40 minutes for them to move the car. Went to build the tent and those same people had corn hole set up in our reserved area. They moved it. The same group of people were blasting mariachi music and rap, interrupting the enjoyment of nature. 7:00pm came around, and they left... thank GOD. The rest of our time spent was phenomenal after this point. Ban disrespectful people from returning here, and we have 5 stars ??

We had a group of 6-8 30 somethings across from us. They were up until 1:00am partying. We mentioned the situation to the campground host the next day and he took care of it. Lovel6 campground. Lots of space between sights
