Love this place, been camping here for 35 years. Going downhill in regards to maintenance. Was disgusted by the overall facilities and door handles on the inside of the men's bathroom, obviously not cleaned for some time. Watched the cleaning crew clean today and all they did was fill a 5 gallon bucket, dump it on the floor and scrub the floor. Never saw any bathroom cleaner enter the bathrooms. Are the showers ever going to reopen?

Love Elk Creek, especially late season.

Clean sites, very clean bathrooms and spacious area. Friendly ranger with great 8pm lectures. Recommended bay of chickens for swimming and it was close and nice to swim on a hot day! Been there before and that’s why we came back. Be back again soon!!

Always a pleasant experience. Only issue is electrical spaces being used by tent campers that don't require electrical. Maybe more electrical spaces are needed.

We stayed in Loop D which has electric. The site also had an excellent, level cement pad big enough to park our RV on and have a patio. The rangers and hosts were all friendly and willing to stop and chat. We are not boaters or fishermen which is the big attraction here at Blue Mesa Reservoir, but there are many excellent hiking trails in the area that we enjoyed.

The bathroom is a problem. Toilets were not clean and bathrooms smells bad. You may want to look at the trap the gas and odors can really build up. The kokane fishing has really changed here over the past 5 years. The fishing has slowed down and the fish do no look heathy.
