Great location for exploring Gunnison. Super helpful staff at visitors center. Many nearby hikes were recommended and taken. Close to Black Canyon and town. Super clean bathrooms. Concrete pad and electric. Well maintained dump station.

Clean campground, friendly hosts. Enjoyed Ranger talk on Believe the Beavers. Disappointed that showers in the marina were closed.

This camp was quiet and a great stop over for us to see the Black Canyon, Crested Butt and Gunnison. Camp is near the road but we didnt hear it a night. The camp host was helpful. The Ranger had a presentation nightly which was a bonus. Not a lot of shade, site D1 was great! A pull through and private. We stayed 3 nights and will stay again!

The campground itself was good and had a good view of the mountains, etc. Unfortunately, as soon as we had docked we had to leave due to the Hwy 50 closure situation which would have blocked us from travelling to Montrose the next day had we stayed overnight (the campground SHOULD advise travelers about this if they haven't already). Campground was good but our situation made it impossible to stay.
