Pros- The views, clean facilities. Cons- The RV parking was uneven, partially on the road and a hike up to the table and fire pit. If you dont mind the walk up to the table the views up on the mesa were very pretty.

One of our favorite National Parks or Monuments. The campground is simple, as most in National Parks are. Our issue was how unlevel our (and other) sites are. Really a challenge for a small RV that needs to be level for the fridge to run.

Went at the end of the reservation season. As with most campgrounds, we have found that the information regarding the transition to fall/winter season was lacking and confusing. When arriving, the camp host told us that all loops remain open for first-come/serve. Also, loop C (ff all year) is the only loop with camping (tent) pads. Would have been nice to know.We stayed in loop B in a tent on bare, flat rock. Beautiful site, and we enjoyed it very much. But we were fortunate there was no wind. With nowhere to put in a stake, I would not recommend tenting if there were wind. Again, as the camp host explained, people often make reservations in loops A or B and transition to loop C if they are tenting. Would have been nice to know.

Our campsite was clean and had a great view. It was hot and in the middle of the week, so it wasn't crowded. We got to watch a thunderstorm off to the west and the pinyon jays and nighthawks kept us entertained that evening. We will definitely return!

Great campground, clean, organized. Windy while we were there, but not the forest services' fault ;)

The Saddlehorn Campground is one of the most beautiful campgrounds in the country!
We stayed in the group camping sites (Loop C) on the first weekend of the Spring that the campground was completely full but site are spaced far apart enough that we didn't know so many people we staying there. The camp host was friendly and helpful.
We used the site as a home-base for gravel biking and hiking and found it perfect (You can check out our routes on https://www.gravelbikeadventures.com/state/colorado )

Beautiful campground! Views spectacular! Site 49 not real level but privacy and views on ridge a few steps from our picnic table made up for it!

We really enjoyed our stay even though it rained a lot. It really made a difference that the rangers let us switch sites when the one we originally reserved was not suitable. Sometimes it's hard to tell is a site is suitable online so it really makes a difference when rangers are as flexible as possible.

Beautiful camp spot! Only warning to potential campers: bring weights to keep your tent/possessions in place. Very little sand/soil on the campsite over the rock
