Lovely campsite for 1 night! I wish we would have scheduled more time for Colorado NM. The facilities (bathroom with running water and camp sink) were clean and close by. We would recommend and return!

Saddlehorn Campground at Colorado National Monument is an absolute gem! The campsites are incredibly well-maintained and thoughtfully spaced apart, giving you privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. The bathrooms are spotless, which is a huge plus when camping. I stayed at Lot 47B, and I have to say, it offers the best view of Fruita Canyonyou wake up to stunning scenery right outside your tent. The entire campground is quiet and serene, making it perfect for a relaxing outdoor escape. If you're camping anywhere near the area, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Decent restrooms, beautiful views. But most of the campsites were slanted and exposed.

We camped in 45-B. The only challenge was that it was hard to drive a tent stake into the ground. We did the best we could, and then put a rock on top of the stakes. Unfortunately, one of our tents blew away. We were able to recover it, however. The view from out site was beautiful. The updated restroom was really nice.

Nice area, well maintained Sadly we only ended up having a picnic lunch at our site. We left the Monument to explore else where and didn't get back three bottom till after dark and didn't want to drive back up in the dark. Next time w we'll plan better.

Beautiful views over the valley and the canyon. The campground is well maintained and bathrooms have running water.
Grills are available at each site but no wood fires are allowed. Just bring charcoal.

The camp site was lovely. Weather rolled in and it was time to go pretty quickly... didn't want to leave so abruptly but lightning was pretty intense.

Campground is in a beautiful area is kept very clean and the host was terrific. We do not like the reservations system however on Recreation.gov because you have to plan so far ahead. Very few sites available for first come first served and it’s too risky to not know where your staying if you get in late. Make it so reservations open up closer to the actual date of travel for those that are more spur of the moment.

make it more obvious in the sign ups which sites are not great for campers/trailers. we were able to fit our camper in our site but it was very tight and it was not obvious in the sign up. otherwise, great views, clean bathrooms and a great visit to the visitor center.

This was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever camped. We loved the views right from our campsite. Tons of great hiking, clean bathrooms, great visitor center, and stunning, clean, safe camping.

Gorgeous spot. Short walk from the campsite to spectacular views of the high canyon walls. Great hikes nearby, within walking distance. The 23-mie rim road is one of the most beeautiful roads you'll ever drive. Only downside is thjat some of the campsites, including ours, were far from level.

We were site 47, stayed in a tent. Had a great view of the valley from the site. The site was pretty rocky but we were able to find ground to hammer our stakes in. It’s a bit windy in the evenings. Camp host was super nice. Water and bathrooms were clean and accessible. No fires allowed. The campground provides great access to the monument which is beautiful, it took us a full day to drive through the monument completely with a few short hikes along the way. There are some great overlooks right down the road from the campsite. Overall it was a great trip!
