The road up is beautiful, so are the views! proximity to Colo National Monument is wonderful. The sites were pretty unlevel and a shower would be nice . A few electric sites would be nice...maybe it was the time of year...Nov...but all were non-electric but the price was great!!

2nd time we have stayed here. Friends were visiting from out of town and it is a great stress free place to get some views and have facilities while camping. Beautiful campground with great tent sites. If it wasn't 22/site to stay we would even stay there ourselves on a casual night.

I came out with my partner for a few nights, it was absolutely splendid. The campground was beautiful, and our campsite was nice and clean. The bathrooms were also really nice, with an included sink service room and heating. Would definitely recommend this place to any avid campers or just lovers of western atmosphere.

lt was fine. The campground host was not present. The hand dryer in the bathroom did not work and the soap dispenser was empty. A couple of nights it was very windy but nobody's fault

Outstanding location, wonderful trails & viewpoints. 2 sites uphill from me was a group that was blaring out loud dance music until about 9pm, when mercifully they turned it off. This detracted significantly from the outdoor, isolated, wilderness experience that I and many other fellow campers were hoping for.

It was impossible to level our trailer at our site! We were fortunate there was another site open for one night and left a day early. I think this campground is appropriate for tents or very small trailers.

This is one of our favorite campsites. The views at the campsites around the edge are gorgeous! The restrooms have flushing toilets and sinks with running water which is always a plus for convenience. Plenty of trails to hike throughout the monument and places to stop at to look out if you decide to just drive through.

Beautiful scenery and great drive towards camp ground. Roads have been upgraded and park looks amazing. Saw saddle horns on the way and the camp host was extremely helpful. Unfortunately didn’t have time for a hike, but close to visitor center.

We had a fantastic site the backed up to the canyon wall face and the drive in. The site was clean and ready for our arrival. Bathrooms were also clean with running water and flushable toilets. Our site along the road was able to support a 17ft camper and two cars. We loved this site and the views from the Colorado National Monument.

The RV sites are a disgrace! Too steep/unlevel, too close to other RVs, and feels like a parking lot-not a National Monument!
A grader could level up the sites and eliminate close ones, and create new ones-with a little imagination.

RV/Trailers on campsites are on the road; few offer much privacy. However, the varying elevations & vegetation provide plenty of options for tent campers. At this site I could pitch my tent under some trees just a few feet from the car, but deeper into the site there are great private sites with a beautiful view.

I want to start by saying that this campground was absolutely gorgeous (and well maintained)! Now, with that being said, we ran into a few issues I would like to address, which led me to giving it a three star rating. The first is the fact that if you are a large RV (we had a 30-foot RV), it is dangerous entering from Fruita, because you have to go under tunnels that are only high enough for you to fit under in the middle, and they're on winding roads, so that was terrifying. Definitely enter from Grand Junction, even though it is a longer route. Secondly, when we got there we were slotted to stay at campsite 45 in the B loop, and it was such a small spot with such a weird incline, that when we tried multiple times to auto-level our RV, it couldn't do so and it ended up tripping our switch completely. When we went to the park ranger there to ask if there was any way we could switch with a car or if there was an open spot available for our RV, he was not very helpful (although there may not have been anything he could do, so I don't put the blame on him), and we had to drive back down in the dark and go to an RV park and weren't able to stay at our site. It was a very unfortunate experience, and I really wish that this site would designate campsite 45 in the B loop as non-RV friendly.

When we arrived, the weather was quite windy. Further, it rained. Between the wind and rain, we ended up sleeping in the car. However, the site was beautiful and had the weather been nicer, we would have had a great time.
