Beautiful views over looking Grand Junction. The campsite was clean with a picnic table. The actual parking space was a bit small for our 18 camper. It was more of a turnout than a parking space. The door to our camper stepped out to the camp ground road.

We appreciated - close parking, picnic table, room between sites, nice CG road to walk, toilets and sink, amphitheater, easy in, easy out.

Great place along I-70 for a couple of days hiking and biking. Clean and well maintained facilities and infrastructure.

Large site close to the restrooms. Mostly in the sun with no shade. Very short drive to the visitor center.

Although the views at Saddlehorn are wonderful, the actual campsites are not very user friendly. The first site would have had our door opening right on to the road. The second one was on quite a slope. I think they tried to cram too many sites into a small, awkward space. The camp host was very friendly and helpful, however.

Great park and campground. Host Terry was excellent with camping assistance and the rangers provided great hiking suggestions.

Very nice sites, beautiful view and a wonderful and different natural environment. We saw bighorn sheep which was very exciting. The host was outstanding and a great host helps a lot in campgrounds like this where the sites do not accommodate larger RV's very well - we had to move around a bit to get it right and the host was very helpful in this process. The only negative is that there is no water spigot to which an RV hose can be hooked for filling water tanks. That could be fixed easily since there is potable water there. Water is available for RV's 5 miles away in Fruita.

It worth the drive. Beautiful vista views and the rangers put together some great educational evenings under the stars. We had a lot of smoke during our visit but it was still breathtaking.

Loved the campground and the views nearby. Very rocky so remember to bring something to hold your tent in place as stakes would be difficult.
