Park is very nice. I stayed in October and thankfully the water and toilets were still working. Some sites are slightly not level, but not too bad. Great views! Very close to Grand Junction if you need to run into town for something or grab a bite.

For those who love the desert area of Colorado this is a gorgeous site with amazing views! If your rig has a passenger side access to the campground, you will need to find a place to turn around and park so your door faces the picnic table.

Campsite was excellent. Level drive and nice fire-pit and incredible evening and morning views. Will return for sure.

Often breezy, which is very nice at night. Fruita is near enough for meals & recreation. Be sure to take the rim loop to the east to drop down into Grand Junction.

One of the most Amazing campgrounds we have ever stayed in! The views from the B loop and the views of the Colorado National Monument right in the campground! Incredible!

I was in B loop, site 40, with a small car and an 8x8 tent. Excellent campground. B40 was a good site but if there had been more sites left to choose when I booked, I probably would have gone with one of the tent sites directly across the road from 40 which are set further back from everything else. Camp hosts were attentive and went around the loop regularly throughout the afternoon to check everything was good. No showers, but each loop has its own super-clean toilet block with flush toilets, cold water sinks, an air hand dryer, and an outdoor water spigot. In B40 I could hear the occasional toilet flush at night but you don't get any real noise or traffic from the toilet block worth caring about. Site was level enough for comfort in the tent, firm red dirt with some small rocks, juniper trees all around, not enough gnats/mosquitos to be a problem (I didn't even need to dig out my bug repellent). Little red ants crossing the site will not bother you, they are NOT fire ants. Make sure you stake your tent well, there was no breeze at all the whole first day but wind came up gusty and strong in the early morning and then went away again after that. You are up high and near the edge so wind gusts will happen. Definitely recommend this campground. A and B loops are a more natural setting, C loop has prettier wood-and-stone toilet block including a separate accessible restroom, accessible paved pathways, and level square tent pads but seems like less privacy and less shade throughout that loop.

This campground is phenomenal everytime we stay, with great sunset views of the Grand Valley, and proximity to the visitor center and many small trails nearby. Bathrooms clean and in working order, and a surprising amount of privacy provided by the pinyon-junipers!

Great campsite where you are overlooking some beautiful scenery. It’s a pull off of the road, however, so it was a tight fit for a 20 ft camper and truck. Camper door was on road side of site. Spectacular drive just getting up to the campground! No hookups. National park campground, half price with senior pass.

Saddlehorn Campground has well maintained sites and bathroom facilities, located in a juniper-pinyon pine woodland. At its north edge is a slickrock rim overlooking Fruita Canyon and Grand Valley; great place to lounge or explore on slickrock, or go to watch sunsets!
