The camp site was spacious with a great view. The other campers were extremely quiet. The bathrooms were clean, heated and only a short walk away. It was literally perfect.

Camped in November, had fantastic weather, no crowds, didnt need a reservation even though only the B loop is open. The sites arent very level in this part of the campground. Restrooms are open, heated & running water. Very good cell reception.

Beautiful area, spacious site. Water & toilets are close. Great hiking options from camp. Didnt realize we couldnt have a campfire so were surprised & bummed but otherwise enjoyed this opportunity

It was too hot with too little shade. And our campsite was the only one around us WITHOUT a charcoal grill. We left after the 1st night instead of staying the weekend. disappointing considering how tough it is to secure a site there. That would be my 2nd issue. The lack of availability is ridiculous.

Only spent one night but I can see myself spending a lot more time there, especially during the off season. The spots can be close but you dont feel like youre on top of other campers. Definitely will be visiting again. Beautiful park!

Biggest campsite I've ever had. Big enough to park a semi. And moreover less on a cliff.

Wonderful campground with fantastic views. Love the trails and visitor center that are a short walk from the campground.

Saddlehorn is excellent. Perched atop the mesa, there are incredible views out over fruita, easy access to the visitor center and short, beautiful hikes. We brought bikes and didn't have to use the car to get around. Our trip was mid October. Temperatures were perfect, and there were plenty of spaces left. There is not a ton of shade from the junipers, something to consider especially in summer. Not all sites are created equal. In the B loop, some are tiny, especially inside the loop, and don't have much or any tent pad. Parking for RVs is pretty slim as well. Bathrooms have sinks and flush toilets, quite the luxury. Drinking water was also really good. The C-loop looks to have been updated recently, and the sites have built up and level tent pads, perfect for big 6-8 person tents. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a site in c-loop next time. They were actively working on a new amphitheater in Oct 2023. Overall a great place to camp.

Camp site was AWESOME!!!! Great view from the top of the butte looking out over an area larger than Rhode Island (I think).

Challenge was the wind that picked up but that was manageable.

Highly recommend this campground

Nice campsite overlooking Grand Junction. Not much space for your vehicle as you can't drive into the sites. But we had enough space with a 19 feet long van. Good host. Didn't see any rangers and didn't do much else in the park. They rarely fill up so a good spot to stop at short notice. Not far off I-70. NOte that there is a dump and fill at the Colorado Welcome Centre just as you exit the interstate in Fruita. Very handy. Behind the Shell, next to the Vietnam Huey helicopter Memorial. There is a Dinosaur museum here as well which would be great to visit.

Everything was good except for our noisy neighbors who were overly loud between 8and 10 pm(it was already dark and we were in our tent) I dont remember seeing a camp host to complain to so we had to endure it
