Only spent one night but I can see myself spending a lot more time there, especially during the off season. The spots can be close but you dont feel like youre on top of other campers. Definitely will be visiting again. Beautiful park!

Biggest campsite I've ever had. Big enough to park a semi. And moreover less on a cliff.

Wonderful campground with fantastic views. Love the trails and visitor center that are a short walk from the campground.

Saddlehorn is excellent. Perched atop the mesa, there are incredible views out over fruita, easy access to the visitor center and short, beautiful hikes. We brought bikes and didn't have to use the car to get around. Our trip was mid October. Temperatures were perfect, and there were plenty of spaces left. There is not a ton of shade from the junipers, something to consider especially in summer. Not all sites are created equal. In the B loop, some are tiny, especially inside the loop, and don't have much or any tent pad. Parking for RVs is pretty slim as well. Bathrooms have sinks and flush toilets, quite the luxury. Drinking water was also really good. The C-loop looks to have been updated recently, and the sites have built up and level tent pads, perfect for big 6-8 person tents. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a site in c-loop next time. They were actively working on a new amphitheater in Oct 2023. Overall a great place to camp.

Camp site was AWESOME!!!! Great view from the top of the butte looking out over an area larger than Rhode Island (I think).

Challenge was the wind that picked up but that was manageable.

Highly recommend this campground

Everything was good except for our noisy neighbors who were overly loud between 8and 10 pm(it was already dark and we were in our tent) I don’t remember seeing a camp host to complain to so we had to endure it

Wonderful National Monument for driving, biking and hiking. The campground is clean, but has limitations. Our campsite had absolutely no room for our very small military jeep trailer even, which includes our bed on a pup up tent. So you have to camp in the road. the camp itself had a ton of space for tents, but you aren't allowed to drive into the campsite, which is terrible. would never stay more than a day at this camp, too crowded and no privacy. We were in B37, with good views of Fruita, and nice hikes right out of the camp. Not a lot of level ground, so come prepared for that. They could improve by telling people which camp sites force you to park in the road on the shoulder, without any type of pull-in at all. Never experienced such a cramped camp, and won't ever go back here.

Saddlehorn Campground is a great place to camp while at Colorado National Monument. The campsites are roomy and separated by bushes/trees, and some sited have great views. Restrooms are clean and handy. The Rim Drive, with all of the pull offs, short trails, and great signage is a great way to get an overview of the monument.
