The site was nice! Never saw the camp ground host. The sign always said off duty. Bathrooms were kept clean!! The reservation system had just changed so next year we will know more about making reservations. This was our 7th year of camping in the spring in out tent and hope we keep the tradition going. All the employees were very nice from checking in to talking to employee at the visitor center.

We stayed at site 36B, which is on the outer loop and offers really fantastic views. The site is supposed to be able to support up to three tents according to the instructions on site, but we had an extremely hard time figuring out where to pitch our tent. My partner was convinced I mistakenly reserved an RV-only site, but I showed him the reservation to be sure. The site hardly matches the photo if at all. We had a picnic table but no grill, disappointingly. There were three potential spots for a tent: one on top of a raging anthill, one completely rocky and uneven, and one tightly tucked between two trees and bordering very closely to our neighbor's campsite. We chose the latter only because our neighbor had a camper to sleep in. Our modestly sized six-person tent just barely fit, and I don't know how any larger would fit at all. Our site also had a parking spot very fit for our car; I'm doubtful an RV or camper would fit that space well either. I can't attest to the other campsites, but 36B doesn't seem to have been planned well at all. Once we set up camp, everything went well (in part because I had a camp stove and didn't need the grill that wasn't at our site). The bathrooms were clean and centrally located, and the dumpsters were also easy to get to. Overall, this campground is great for spending time at such an excellent national monument, but the campsites might not be as well-planned as I would have hoped.

An absolutely beautiful campground with amazing views! Our site was right on the edge of the campground so we were able to get a great view of the surrounding area. Our site didn’t have a designated tent pad which didn’t bother us, we were able to get set up in a nice spot. Restrooms and water spout is a quick walk from the site and the camp host was super friendly and welcoming. You are also right off the main road that goes through the park so you get to see all the amazing sites there pretty easily. The sun can get pretty intense so bring lots of protection and the site can be a bit dusty.

The campsites are oddly shaped and not always optimal for an rv. Luckily we have a truck camper, but the spot to park was small and very unlevel. We made note of sites that would be more comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Host was friendly. Always love riding my bike on the rim road.
