Was nice to be on top of Monument and see view of Fruita down below. However, I was far from restroom, and lighting was not good. Take a flashlight.

Spacious, fairly private site with a great view! You are not able to stake down a tent due to the very hard & rocky ground.

Beautiful campground. Campground host (Sky his wife) were so friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were immaculate. Sites are clean, well-maintained with amazing views.

Site needs to be graded and leveled. Not trailer friendly Nice views of the valley

The campground is well maintained, and the camp host is friendly, professional and helpful. The toilet facility is one of the best I've seen at a campsite.

Beautiful views across the city and to the mountains beyond. Sites are well spaced out. Unlike way too many campgrounds they actually have full recycling facilities.

A great place but you need more than two levelers to make that the camper stands straight

Love saddlehorn. It is one of our favorite campsites.

It was a bit of a steep trip up with our 5th wheel & took a bit to level in our site but what a view! It was gorgeous!

Great view of the surrounding area, great sunset. Campsite is all on rocks so if sleeping in a tent bring a good mat or mattress.

Beautiful views. The campground was quiet and clean but full. Expect lines at the restroom. This part surprised us since most campsites were filled with travel trailers with bathrooms.

The ability to gain firewood needs to be handled at the visitor center as well as through campground hosts due to limited cell phone ranges and the presumption that a scan and pay system is easily accurate. When the hosts are away it is important to have a backup plan for colder days while they are gone

We were in spot 35 B and the site was somewhat secluded and provided good views of the valley from the rim. Good access to the trails and short walk to one of the best overlooks in the national monument. I would appreciate greater enforcement of the curfew and quiet times. Campsite next to us was talking loudly until almost 1:30AM. Also, weather can roll in quickly. Tie everything down!

The campground is rather small but the vista was large. Very positive experience.

Seems like a lot of locals come up to camp and hang out. It was quiet loud and very little shade at the sites. But at least there was a great sunrise!

This campground is clean, quiet and picturesque. For all of the outstanding qualities, I would not recommend going there during the six week period from June into mid-July because of the Juniper gnats. They are worse than mosquitos in their bite. The park rangers are friendly and very helpful. I'm looking forward to my next trip there which includes bicycling the Monument.
