Beautiful campground with sweeping views of the Colorado River valley. No electric or water hookups at sites, but clean modern bathrooms and water spigots. Make sure you bring levelers for your RV or trailer. Many sites have a slope.

We loved it at Saddlehorn. Great views, quiet, amazingly clean amenities. The camp host was a gem! He went above and beyond to help us.

Views from the campground were impressive. Visitor center was close and had public WiFi. The nighttime sky viewing program was great.

Site B30 was fairly level. Great to be in the park for easy access to the scenic drive. Water stations are a bit far apart and in hard to get to places.

The park itself was awesome. We were surprised by the beauty of the natural surroundings. The crowds that are so familiar at other parks were not present. The only negative is the campsites. Many are small and close together. We happen to be in a site near a group of sites that were being used by a busload of teens. Not the most serene environment. To be fair, there some sites on the outer edges of the campground that offer a bit more privacy.

The camp host was very helpful. We love Saddlehorn Campground and stay here often when in Colorado. Our reserved site was not suitable and the host was very accommodating in helping us move to a better site. We hike the trails and enjoy the peace and quiet of this park. The night view over the Colorado River Valley from the campground is spectacular. The rim drive is beautiful.

Campground and restrooms were very clean. Scenery was fantastic! No problems at all.

This was our second time staying at Saddlehorn. We learned our lesson the first time: don’t stay on the inside of the loop with a trailer! The sites on the outside of the loop are much bigger and easier to navigate even with a smaller rig like ours.

We stayed in Site 30. Plenty of room to spread out a rug, screen house, chairs, and enjoy our fire bowl at night. The bathroom facilities were clean and there is a water spigot right outside. Definitely worth the $22 to stay here and enjoy the amazing hiking that Colorado National Monument has to offer!

I stayed in site 31, loop A and it was a fairly decent site. There is little privacy at this campsite, as the bushes on both sides are rather low. The lack of a firepit was also disappointing. However, the charcoal grill was handy and the bathrooms clean. It's also nice staying in the park because it makes sunrise and sunset hikes readably accessible.

Beautiful park, and we benefited from some very good advice we received at the visitor center. Our reserved site -- which we did online - was quite sloped, so not the best for our small camper van. But the ranger told us that we could simply take the reserved sign on our site -- we were staying for just a night -- and transfer it to any unoccupied site in another loop. Since we didn't need any hook ups, the result was a much nicer -- and flatter -- site -- and a chance for someone with a much larger RV to use our old site. A win win.

This is a really nice site with good facilities. The bathroom was quite nice, with running water, and it was clean. The camp site was well set up, and parking was easy. Our visit got interrupted, however, by adjacent campers arriving past 1am and making a ton of noise setting up, other campers departing at 4am, and a thick cloud of smoke from a forest fire smoking us out at 5am. We'll have to visit again some time and see the place in better circumstances!

The campsite was small but it was fairly private from the adjacent ones. I enjoyed walking my dog around the campground because of the beautiful views into the Colorado River Valley below to the north. We did the roadside tour of all the view points and pullouts and there were artists painting the scenic views. We saw numerous big horn sheep as well.
