Saddlehorn campground was terrific. The sites were well laid out with picnic tables at each one. The restrooms were extremely clean. Potable water was available within easy reach of each camp site. The campground hosts were very welcoming and willing to help. We highly recommend this campground.

Camp host Terri was unprofessional, we reserved our location late at night and were woken up to interrogations the next morning at 8am. After we confirmed booking as valid, he wrote us a warning ticket for nonpayment. We paid. We had email receipt. Very strange behavior, reported to Ranger Miki but nothing came of it. Will avoid this place in the future.

The soil at the campsites is not very deep making it a challenge to put tent stakes in the ground. It was very windy one night and I had to put rocks in the corners of the tent to hold it down. the bathrooms were very clean. I liked the hide along the rim from the Book Cliff shelter toward the visitor center. The hike up No Thoroughfare canyon to the waterfall plunge pools was wonderful.

Site was excellent. Our 17 foot travel trailer (364 with tow vehicle) fit fine. Not sure why its not listed as a trailer site.

This is a beautiful spot that we have visited many times through the years. This visit was sub-par due to the bathrooms being closed in our loop and the lack of water anywhere in the area.

Outstanding easy to get to, overlooked park. Even if only travelling through Grand Junction, adding only 40 minutes gives you a fantastic scenic drive.

This campground may be fine for smaller RVs but for larger ones the sites are small and overgrown with trees and brush. The sites are not level.
There are no hookups, no water, no electric, and no dump station. There are dumpsters for trash.
The day we were scheduled to leave we were told we needed to be out of the campsite by 7:30 - 8:00 AM because of some bicycle event that would have the traffic closed one way and snarled up for hours.

Great place to camp! Loop C has tent pads, in case it rains (which it did as we arrived). It is conveniently near to the trail heads for Window Rock and Canyon Rim trails. Quiet / small trees provide some privacy.

Great campground on top of the plateau overlooking Fruita and Grand Junction. Facilities were clean and modern. Camp host was borderline overbearing about the prohibition on burning wood (sign on the campsite, sign on my pile of wood stating 911 would be called if I burned it, and a follow up conversation as he drove by on his cart). Perhaps there are enough dumb people out there that he needs to do that, I felt like a child though.

Beautiful campground.

A quiet campground with clean facilities. Great visitors center close by the campground as well as some fun hikes for families. Beautiful place to stay.
