The campsite (27B) itself was terrible: directly in front of, and next to, the restroom. No privacy (trees); the table was directly on the path to the bathroom, as was the tent pad. (I was in a van, but the lack of privacy in this site was surprising). The site was bounded on three sides by pavement, path, and bathroom. In contrast, the campground itself is situated in a beautiful part of the park. Trails are nearby, so one can hike to overlook scenery directly from the campground. The visitor Center is also within walking distance. Bathrooms are clean. Water is plentiful . Camp hosts are available, friendly, and helpful. So my only complaint is the camp site (27B) itself. This site seemed wedged into some 'extra' space. I spent only one night, in a van, for a 3-night reservation.

Reservation system is terrible. More than half the campground was empty yet there were no sites available. Host was not available to help change sites from my viticulture site overlooking the toilets.

Had to go elsewhere. Great campground but the site we reserved is useless. 27-B has no flat area for a tent and is right next to the stinky bathrooms. Really put us in a bind as we had very little time to find other accommodations and ended up paying 400$ for a BnB. Sad deal.

This is my second stay. The staff was great. A must see is Rattlesnake canyon and arches. You need 4 wheel drive high clearance. But it's worth it.

This campground was beautiful. It was very clean and not at all crowded. Riding our bicycles on rim drive was a treat. Site 27 is very small and very close to the restrooms (hearing the toilets flush close). I would definitely this campground.

The campsite is fantastic. It was a quick walk to the visitors center and one of the easier hikes along the rim of the canyon. Views from the campsite are amazing, especially during sunset. I don't really recommend the site we were at (#27) as it is basically in front of the toilet, so very noisy and busy. It was a last minute reservation so we were happy to at least get something, but we wouldn't purposely book this site. Given our choice, we'd pick site 39, or another site along the rim as they offer the best views of the Book Cliffs and are more spacious. Note vegetation is low so not much shade and visitors are not permitted to hang any lines of any kind for outdoor showers or clothes drying. Wind can also pick up suddenly and unexpectedly so be sure to stake down any tents/shelters!

Great campsite and unforgettable views. Mind your kids and pets - it's a mostly sheer drop from the cliff edges. If you're tent camping, make sure you bring hearty stakes; the soil is very compacted up there. Can't wait to go back.
