I was called a week prior to the reservation asking to change my reserved site since they wanted to close the section where I had reserved. I chose another site, much less desirable. When I arrived, someone was in that spot. Since it was late, we just went to another empty spot only to have someone drive up and tell us they were there. So we went to antoher spot and thankfully didn't have anyone else show up. Poor management on the part of whoever arranged this

Amazing views! The sites are a bit close, totally worth it to visit this gorgeous place.

It was smoky when we were there, several forest fires burning and visibility was poor. But the campground is beautiful, with what would normally have been great views. Saddlehorn Campground provided refuge for us when we needed it but we would love to return and enjoy what it provides when the air is clear to enjoy the far vistas.

Great views, clean flushable toilets. The camp host was accommodating and extremely helpful. Does NOT have campfires. Youll understand why when you get there.

Beautiful campground. Very clean and well maintained.

Campsite needed tidying up, e.g. bits of trash, pop tops, soda pop bottle lids, etc. Picnic table was grungy, placed at a tilt over a runoff gully, and was too heavy to level out. Our two-pad site was fine, but location means everything. We were at a crook of a one-way road, so every car that passed through flashed headlights right into my tent; there was no other place to set it up, so I was stuck there. Part of my problem is that I've camped at the Monument since the 1990's, and it's worse for wear. This loop needs to be closed for basic maintenance at some of the sites.

Too hot in the summertime but the ranger programs are interesting and fun. That was my 13 year old sons review. I agree this would be a great stay outside of summertime or if your camping rig includes air conditioning. The location is convenient and magical, our first time on the canyons and waking up here and taking a short walk was magical.

Love, love, love this campground! Lots of great trails nearby that my 9 year old felt confident & capable of completing.

Camp host was wonderful. Clean restrooms and entire area.

Campsite was exactly as expected. Views are fantastic. Midsummer is very hot, so this campground doesn't cool down very much on a hot summer night. The shoulder seasons, spring and fall, would be much more pleasant.

No fires allowed, but that was no issue for me. There is some cell reception. Staff drive around to chat with campers.

I camped two nights. There was noise each night after quiet hours which began at 10:00pm. At 11:00 pm I had to ask campers next to me to stop talking. The next night a group of individuals were loudly talking at 1:00 am. The host did not make rounds at 10:00 pm to determine if all campers were following the quiet time rules.

Disappointing campground. It's like the goal iss to crowd as many sites into the area as possible with no clear boundary between sites. Rules aren't enforced. Huge rv's are crowded right up to the road on both sides leaving a narrow lane to navigate. Dogs run loose, trash wasn't picked up and quiet hours weren't. Stay somewhere else, but do visit the Monument - it's beautiful.
