Most of the parking areas are very unlevel. If you are sleeping in a camper, trailer, etc bring lots of blocks and jacks.

I was pleased the host was able to move me to a different site for my second night, further away from a large group of teenagers (educational camp). Not that the group were badly behaved, just that with any large group it is not exactly a peaceful experience.
It is a shame this campsite so regularly has these large groups, we have seen the same thing here last year.

Great views from most sites. Bathrooms were pristine and smell free. I think it's normal to get windy at night being so exposed, it was the night we were there.

The overall area for the campground is beautiful, but most of the sites in the campground are so un-level that they cannot be used by most RVs (and the driveways are also very small).

So... great campground if you are tenting, but I don't recommend for an RV - even a small class B.

I am a landscape architect with 15,000 miles camping and hiking. This campground is poorly laid out and there was virtually no thought given to grading or RV parking. They will rent you a site for an RV that you cannot use for one.

After I realized how awful it is, I walked around to see the other sites. About a third are acceptable, another third were marginal and the final third were unworkable. Every RV had to use blocks to level out. We have a very small RV (about 19 feet long) and we could not get level, even with blocks. The campground host just shrugged his shoulders.

This is a primitive campground with few amenities. It is not level at all. It is away from the monument and you cannot see much of anything while in camp.

All in all, this i one of the worst campgrounds I have been in. Tents will fare better since there are some pads available. My professional advise would be to start over on this one. Be warned if you are looking to park an RV.
