Very quiet campground, close to Sedona and a lot of trail. Nicely shaded and spacious sites along a creek. Lovely stay.

Stayed in site 36. Liked that it was at the end so I would only have one neighbor...but the Manresa retreat was backed up to the campground. It is private property so you couldn't just wander down the creek southwards. They had a 10:30 PM curfew, so the riotous basketball game finally quieted down. (It wasn't that loud, but if you go to bed early... not so much.) The camp hosts Carolyn and Tony (I think that was his name) were very friendly. They checked you in, made sure you didn't need ice or wood. If you did, they brought it to your site. That was nice. Bathrooms were clean. I guess they don't clean out fire pits anymore. Site was raked. The creek is a bit away from the site. The site platform was raised. I guess that is to prevent flash flooding in the actual campground. #36 site is small. Your tent is on top of your picnic table and fire pit not much further away. But since land along Oak Creek is premium, that's what you get. I have t-mobile and my internet was non-existent. Being a book. I stayed for 2 nights. Went to Palatki Ruins. Must have a reservation to see the ruins. (Also a Red Rock pass.) Buy both online before you get there. Internet is spotty, except in town. Also, leave an hour and a half to get there. It's on a dirt forest road... my Pontiac Vibe cleared it, but dust and rocks kick up, so be aware. It was enjoyable, but you have to like seeing people since they walked so close to your tent and site (the road is right there.) I probably won't be back, I booked here because Cave Spring was closed until July.

Excellent, except for the ten or so seconds total that you could smell the outhouses.

Way too close to the highway to enjoy the natural beauty and feel like youre camping. Site was clean and bathroom was clean, but felt like I was camping on the side of the road not in a campground.

Site 36 at Pine Flat West Oct 19, 20 & 21, 2021. In general a beautiful location in Oak Creek Canyon. Loved S36 except for fire pit. Needs maintenance. Holes at bottom of metal firepit ring prevented sheets of clean copy paper from lighting. Very hard to start fire. After we kept fire burning (1 hr to start) what had been burned previously smelled terrible and smoked us out. Gaps in dirt around ring need proper maintenance for proper burning. Tent and all equipment and interior of vehicle smelled like disgusting smoke. Could not get away from it. Also did not love Women's vault toilet closest to S36. Human feces on brick ledge INSIDE the toilet on 10/19/21 so disgusting we gagged and did not return. Feces had degraded so obviously been there more than a day or two. Sickening. With current Covid-19 situation and 2 camp hosts on site this was unacceptable and inexcusable. Since we avoided that "toilet" we kept forgetting to tell hosts, both of whom we saw in various areas of campground all 3 days. Friendly fellow campers. Felt safe camping.

The hosts were awesome and even delivered firewood. We loved the no radio rule, it was nice not having to hear a bunch of random music and just enjoy the beauty.

Great spot. Close to the road but perfect for a quick stay for a camper van.

Would definitely stay here again. The host was very friendly, bathrooms were the cleanest I have seen in a campground, campsites were clean and close to the creek. So close to amazing hikes, scenery, and destinations.Negatives were there were lots of skunks around at night, really close to the road noise at night, and some of the sites were quite small. Not enough negative to dislike it.

Camp host was very nice. Even help bring firewood to the campsite with her golf cart. Campsites were very well maintained. Witness gentleman struggling to blow up mattress fire tent, gentleman host help by blowing it up at his host site. Bathrooms were very clean, and cleaned very often/ sanitized. When a camp party leaves (due to covid-19), the camp hosts are hard at work scrubbing the picnic tables. The only downside was the traffic, due to the campsite near the road, you could hear and see traffic all night. If you're there for fishing your best bet is to travel south of the camp, at cave springs or just south south it were there are bigger pools of the creek. I definitely would be considering camping here again, very beautiful indeed.
