Love Manzanita. Camp there every year and been in this area for 20+ years so we know it well. This is one of the best campsites because excellent creek access and is tent only. Only downside of this location is that it is downstream of Slide Rock. Typical extended camp for us, but well usually stay around oak creek for 7-10 days at a time with several day trips per year. The downside this year was that the camp host was unfriendly and had an attitude with us. Thankfully we didnt have to deal with them much so we dont let those things spoil our camp. Wed just never experienced a rude and condescending camp host before. Im unsure if we received an attitude because we know the area and are locals. The district has outsourced camp host (and ticketing agent locations such as West Fork) these past few years. Theyre usually okay, but this time was unlucky. They seem to treat you worse if they sense youre local. Our best experience has been with park rangers as hosts. We miss them, bring the park rangers back please.

Nice location near Oak Creek. Smaller sites and limited parking with quiet, peaceful campsite within drive to popular sites.

This site was perfect! The water rushing from the creek was so peaceful. If I lived in this area I would camp here often!

It was great camp. I am sure will be back next summer but I am wondering why they charge $8 extra. More expensive than Grand Canyon national park.

Site 13 is next to the creek and there is enough shade. No stairs to access the campsite so you need to jump or use stairs of site 12.

Beautiful canyon and creek

Good location for hiking and small campground..kinda noisy with the road. Creek is lively and beautiful with some close swimming holes. Our campsite 13-was close to river but very small. Easy access to Sedona. Internet spotty. Nearby food and restaurants.

#13 is the direct access to the creek, which makes it more fun! though you need few steps to go to your car. The rangers are very kind and sweet. No cellular service (at&t), no ice

Manzanita was an excellent place, camp host very friendly, bathroom was clean, we really enjoyed hearing the creek, good shade from the trees, and quiet at night. closer to a lot of things in Sedona.

Stayed at site #13 for 3 nights in late May. Excellent site, probably the nearest to Oak Creek, that provides a great view. We have a large 10-person tent and made it work, although it took a while to find soil to drive the stakes. Some of the site is over a boulder with little soil on top. Again, we made it work, but this site is best for a small tent. Campground was extremely clean. There were two hosts present when we were there and both were very friendly while maintaining the property.

A beautiful campsite, well-maintained, and a phenomenal camp host. The sites and facilities were magnificently kept, thoroughly cleaned, and well-stocked. The location is a short distance away but located in a quiet area (some road noise) away from the busy tourist areas. Definitely recommend a walk along the creek that runs just past the campsite, as there are plenty of opportunities to observe wildlife. Can't wait to visit again!

Manzanita campground is a beautiful spot, but I did not realize there is a busy road running along the whole campsite. If I had done my research a little better I probably would not have selected this site based on that.

We know it's not your fault, but the proximity to highway 89A is a bummer.
The distance away from Sedona's glitzy sprawl is fabulous.
The camp hosts were welcoming and helpful.
