Nice campground that is easily accessible.

There isnt much bad to say about this campground, but there isnt much good either. Its fairly basic with little activity surrounding. The campground itself is maintained well enough with flushing toilets and sources of water throughout. The site we stayed at (#38) was large enough for the kids to run around. We brought a pop up canopy which Im glad we did, as it gets hots with little shade covering. It seemed quiet enough overall and laidback. Its worth a try if youre looking for something new. Cheers!

Not much positive to say. Almost no shade, the tent was in direct sunlight from sun up to sun down Picnic table was dilapidated, almost a danger to use.Quiet hours are not followed. Parties were going strong well after midnight. Farm directly behind our tent had a yard light on all nightSame farm had a dog that barked all night. Farm down the road had a rooster crowing at 4:30 am. Toilets were gross, green slime caking the inside and no toilet paper. Toilets near entrance had a locking bolt on exterior that worried my wife. Trail across the street was not scenic unless you want to see old houses and junked cars. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We were in site 38.

The bathrooms were not clean with green stuff growing in the toilet bowls..it used to be such a nice and pleasant place to be...i really hope they find more resources to maintain the campground.

This campground is nestled on the backside of Palomar Mountain.The name "oak grove" holds its value - the entire campground has tons of oak trees which create a lot of shade.we stayed in site #38 and it was perfect for our car with 17ft trailer. there was enough room for another car!The site space was huge, definitely able to accommodate 3+ tents.The sites are spread out enough so you don't feel like you're right on top of each other, which was great.They don't sell firewood at the camp, so make sure you bring some, or visit the market about 5 miles down the road. You'll pass a cute Bar (Garage 79) and a nice vineyard (Hawk Watch), which are worth a stop.Directly across the street is the Oak Grove Trailhead which was about 5 miles roundtrip up to the service road and back. The hike has great views!I really enjoyed this campground for a quick weekend getaway.

Nice campground. The camp host is very friendly and helpful. Generally quiet in our site away from the road. Better cellular coverage closer to the road, but virtually no coverage in our site away from the road. For RVers, the closest dump station is perhaps 30 miles away, so plan accordingly. Overall, nice place to stay in the Oak Grove / Warner Springs area. I will likely be back.
