I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Laguna Campground in Cleveland National Forest. After years of visiting and enjoying this beautiful area, my family and I were shocked by the rude and unprofessional treatment we received from the campground hosts, Jim Delwall and Pheone Caldwell, during our stay on October 4th.We had reserved campsite 78, an area we've camped at many times before without any issues. Shortly after we began setting up, two workers approached us and rudely informed us that we could not stay because the site was "reserved for motorhomes only." Moments later, Mrs. Caldwell stormed over, shouting and demanding that we move immediately. When I tried to explain that we had camped in this loop before and were unaware of any rule changes, she refused to listen and continuously interrupted me.Mrs. Caldwell made an insensitive and dismissive comment, telling us we could only stay if we "went and bought a real RV" the next morninga ridiculous and offensive statement, especially if someone doesn't have the financial means to do so. When I pointed out that the campground was not busy, with many empty spots around, she claimed that many campers would arrive in the morning, contradicting the campground's rule that prohibits reserving sites without occupying them. What made this encounter even worse was seeing other campers in tents and trucks in the same area where we were supposedly not allowed to stay. Clearly, Mrs. Caldwell picks and chooses which rules to enforce. This entire experience ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend for my family. I would strongly advise anyone considering this campground to think twice, as the current hosts are rude, discriminatory, and clearly lack customer service skills. Until this issue is resolved, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this campground.

The campground is very well laid out. The camp hosts were very gracious and helpful. The toilets were clean - we didn’t try the showers but they looked clean too. We have a trailer and the spots were somewhat level and there was plenty of room. There is firewood for sale on the campground for $9 a bundle and it was pretty decent wood. There were plenty of trash receptacles including recycling for CRV. This was our second visit and we will be back for sure. We had a great time hiking on the plentiful trails nearby.

Great campground. Facilities were clean and in good shape. Showers could have been a little warmer but overall good. Weather was perfect so that probably helped with the excellent experience.

Stayed in the RV Loop with a Class A motorhome a couple of inches over 34 feet long. Site was plenty long enough for us plus our tow vehicle. Site was level and partially shaded and included a picnic table and fire ring. We had a great stay. The only problem was we did not see our spot first time through the loop so had to find a place to turnaround, which was an issue and resulted in a few scratches on upper portion of RV. It would be good to have a spot that allowed for turnaround because you miss seeing things when looking around to try to make sure that you are going in the correct direction. Restrooms were near site and were well-kept by camp hosts. Water was by restrooms. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Park was well-kept and a nice place to stay. Nice hikes nearby. Look forward to coming back but next time will know where to park and not miss it the first time through!

It is so beautiful at Mt Laguna. There are lots of birds to admire and many trails to hike. The hosts were very pleasant and there was a stargazing presentation that our grandson really enjoyed.

Recent campground remodel is great. Perfect location for hiking, biking, relaxing. Mobile phone service is bad.

The entire campground has been upgraded! The 8x8 posts alongside the road are a hazard to RV turning so be careful! The paved sites are a big improvements. There are now 3 hosts also.
