The site 1 parking spur is long and wide. It's also fairly level with a slight slant to the front. The site itself is big and clear. There are no neighbors on the camp side, and on the off camp side, site 4 has plenty of separation. There is not much shade, but you might like this during cooler weather, if you have solar or need a clear unobstructed view for Starlink. There was only a max of two bars on Verizon in certain areas. It's a quiet site, with occasional conversations heard or children playing, which is to be expected in a family campground. Cons are the pit toilets, which can occasionally be smelled, even in further sites from the restroom, depending on direction of the wind. It would also be helpful if there were more fresh water spigots spaced around the loops. Lastly, if you have a trailer be forewarned, there are wooded posts that line the streets and spurs. The streets are narrow and it can be challenging with little to no front swing room for your tow vehicle while backing in to your site.

one of my favorite place to camp in San Diego. The staffs & views are amazing! The campgrounds are clean & spacious. the only issue we have is that the flushing bathrooms & showers are still not available (it hasn't been opened for a few years now). The toilets in the meadows does get smelly. It's clean, but it smells and can smell it sometimes at the campsite closest to it.

The campground hosts were some of the nicest people but the campground water system needs a big fix. NO water in meadow loop and some of the upper loops. Found only 2 working water spots in the whole campground and with the water problem only 2 showers that worked. Want to reiterate that the campground hosts were THE best and did what they could to make our stay nice!,

I have visited this area many, many times, including the camping site during the daytime, in different seasons. I have had extremely good impressions. This was the first time I camped at night, and I thought this should be an ideal place to watch the Perseid Meteor shower. Indeed, the sky here was dark enough for meteor shower watching, although there were some clouds that day.My biggest complaint is the noise. A group of campers were singing, laughing, and shouting loudly after 10 pm. They were even walking around with bright lights and singing, as if they were the only ones there. Around 10:40 pm, they finally became quiet, but this was not the end. In the middle of the night, a group of campers, I was not sure if they were the same group I mentioned before, started to make a huge amount of noise again. They even loudly knocked some metal objects. Throughout the night, there were no staff members patrolling the site to remind them to keep quiet.Ironically, the next morning at 9 am, when I returning to my car from the restroom, I found staff members patrolling the site, just having placed a ticket on my car window. They thought I was a new visitor who had just arrived in the morning. If only they had been as active at night, I wouldn't have had such a terrible experience.

Been camping at Laguna campground for a few summers and this is the first year I felt like it was time to find another campground. Not because of the campground itself but because of other campers. Had issues with other campers having off leash dogs and allowing them to roam the entire loop. I come up here each 4th of July to escape the fireworks, my dog doesn't like them. She's also reactive and I don't like unknown dogs approaching randomly. If she was friendly, I personally would not allow her to freely roam the entire loop, especially if I don't have good recall for her, aside from the fact I believe the regulation is for dogs to be leashed at all times. Camp host as well as I went over to speak with them but didn't make a difference. Campers leashed the dog as soon as camp host was seen and unleashed as soon as they walked away. There was also a pretty large group close to the bathrooms that stayed up late into the night who did not respect quiet hours. I was on the opposite end of the loop from them and could still hear them. The bathrooms have been cleaner for past visits but they were still usable, just had to hold your breath during certain times of the day, but I guess it's to be expected of a pit toilet.

We found our camping experience this year to be very good. The campsites were clean, the bathrooms were well stocked and maintained, and the campground hosts did a good job of ensuring quiet hour starting at 10PM. The campground hosts had plenty of firewood for our use. The only discrepancy was the noted checkout time....our reservation stated a 1PM checkout time but all the signage at the campground stated a checkout time of 11AM.

Laguna Campground is located in a beautiful section of Laguna Mountain Recreation Area. The property is well maintained, the staff very friendly. The camp sites are well spaced. Having coin op showers in the campsite is a great benefit. Enjoyed our time there and would camp there again.

The campground is well maintained and the hosts do regular patrols to keep the shenanigans to a minimum. There were lots of dogs and families but plenty of space to feel uncrowded. There are many of trails accessible from the campgrounds and an overlook about 1.5 miles north on Sunrise Highway where you can see all the way to the Salton Sea on a clear day.

Nice campground, not a massive amount of shade, but nice hikes through the meadows next to the sites.
