Nice big sites, parking space accommodate 2 cars or small camper and car, lots of hiking/biking nearby and good resupply food store close by.

Campsite was pretty large, close enough to restroom, had some sunny open areas along with some shady under small tree good for setting up tents. For hot days, there are shaider sites available especially in the loop near the meadow. Highly recommend Lightning Ridge Trail (around 2 miles total) which starts by the amphitheatre.

Pros: Very peaceful. Pleasant hosts. Very clean.Cons: Frustrating that many water spickets were not working. Wooden bullards outlining road throughout campground make it extremely difficult to navigate with a travel trailer

We camp here at least once a year. The sites are well maintained and they have made some upgrades and improvements in the last few years. Love the easy access to the meadow for hiking and biking. The camp staff were very nice and friendly.

First time back to the shadow loop since campground was redone. We stayed in site 31, which have stayed in many times over the years. As others have noted since the revamp, this site is a bit of a tight fit as the road edge posts have been positioned such that it makes it more difficult for the backing RV to turn into the campsite. Other than that, the site was great. Overall, the campground was well maintained and very clean. It is very evident that the campground hosts take their job seriously. Thank you for that. I love this campground as the sites are well spaced out, there are many trails to hike or bike and it is just beautiful to be in the forest.

Great campground overall. Super friendly hosts and gorgeous hiking right out of the campground. Remember, it is literally freezing at night time during the winter...

Location and scenery are great. Hosts were polite. Sites have plenty of separation between each other. Newly paved roads through the loops HOWEVER, newly installed posts lining every foot of pavement greatly limit accessibility. Unless you are thoroughly proficient, I would not consider bringing in a travel trailer longer than 36 bumper to tongue. If youre both reading this and care, spot 32 seemed to be the easiest to access with a larger rig and is regularly still available on short notice.

The renovations look really nice but they really messed up with all the post lining the roads in there, way too many and to close to the edge of the blacktop which made it very difficult for trailers to back into spots, lots of ripped bumpers and missing hubcaps as well as run over post in the short stay that we had!
