A nice campground and camping spot with plenty of space. However, on the 24th while I was away for a full day of hiking to Julian and back, someone entered my car, burglarized and cut my cloths. I called and reported this to the forest service, who said they will report to the police department. Other than this, it was a wonderful experience.

Great experience, would have been a 5 star if the neighboring campground (Horse Haven) managed by the US Forrest Service did not allow concerts/raves/festivals/wedding events on their property. A professional DJ setup, complete with generators to power the professional production, and concert grade speakers could be heard a mile or so away as the thumping bass traveled thru the meadow.

Nicely Wooded area. The entire park is dry camping. My biggest complaint is the 8x8 posts planted along every bit of roadway and site to keep anyone from going an inch off the pavement. They represent a serious hazard to your RV if you accidentally veer off even a small bit. They do have a loop dedicated to full size RVs only. Shady loop and Meadow loop have good spots for average RVs. I had expected that being in the mountains it would be cooler, but that's not the case...it was hot and we didn't want to run the generator more than necessary so we had no AC. One Campground host was friendly, the other not so much. Sites near the bathrooms and dumpsters had an odor depending on wind direction and whether or not the sunshine was powering the exhaust fans. Sites were large and spacious. Vault toilets were clean. There are two bathrooms that have showers, one centrally located. There are lots of long hikes available in the area. We had two sites that shared a grassy area between them so it was great for our grandkids to play and run between us and their parents. NO Verizon service inside the park.

We stayed for the weekend, their campsites are spacious for group camping clean and well kept campsites. Quiet time is enforced. Overall weve enjoyed stay and will come back for sure.

Got hit by a WIND and RAIN storm. Left after one night. Not the campgrounds fault.

Nice clean sites , clean bathrooms appears to be recently remodeled.. they need a better trash company because it never got picked up for a whole week long and the heat and smell got worse . Other than that good experience

Campers with RV’s beware! If you tow a trailer or have a larger motorhome, backing into campsites at the campground is extremely difficult, even for experienced RVers. The campground was recently renovated and they made it almost impossible for long vehicles to back into campsites due to the many 5”x 5” posts (2-3 feet tall) installed every 5’ throughout the campground. All of the 1-way roads and each campsite are bordered by the posts, preventing vehicles from swinging into the sites when backing in. It’s also difficult to see the posts from the driver’s seat, so a “spotter” is essential. We witnessed several people damage their RV’s or tow vehicles trying to park them. Also, the campground’s few 2-way roads are often too narrow for bigger vehicles to pass each other, requiring one vehicle to back up to let the other pass. Craziness…so sad that the engineers who planned the renovations are obviously not RV campers!

A camping gem at Mt Laguna. Very peaceful and quiet. No annoying loud RV generators. People are very respectful. We really enjoyed our stay and especially nature. There were so much birds. We were at site 16 which is at the meadows, plenty of shade and flat ground so it was very easy to setup even for bigger tents. At night the sky was just spectacular there were so much stars. The rangers were also very nice and was constantly checking in on everyone and even asked us if we needed firewood. They also kept the restrooms clean and water source was plenty. Overall our stay was one of the best and we will definitely come back more. Thank you to the people who keep this place beautiful and clean. Highly recommended for family camping.

The campground has roomy sites, and is very, very clean. Beautiful forests and meadows near the campground, and great hiking right from there.
