Very large camp sites in the Meadow loop. Easy access to hiking. The only negative is many of the sites require a moderate amount of leveling if you are in an RV. Still worth 5 stars.

The overall experience was positive, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, parking a 21-foot trailer proved to be quite challenging, despite my having considerable towing experience. My campsite was very sloped, which made leveling my trailer difficult. After walking around the campground, I noticed that very few sites were similar to mineI guess I just got the short end of the stick. The campground itself was spotless and especially picturesque in the fall. I thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful, quiet mornings with birds chirping overhead. Be aware that weather conditions can be unpredictable; temperatures fluctuated greatly within the weekfrom the 20s to the 40sand nights could be calm or whipped up by gusts over 30 mph. Just make sure youre prepared for anything.

Campsites are spaced well enough for some privacy. We did the short hike to Big Laguna Lake with our dog. It was very scenic and wed like to try the other hikes some other time. The restrooms were great for the most part.

The best campground in San Diego county. Super clean, pristine campsites and roadways. Beth, the camp host was very helpful and knowledgeable and pleasant to chat with. Winter camping, the meadows, the long easy hikes were perfect for a short get away.

One of my favorite campgrounds. Love that there are so many hikes available from the campground. Campground is clean and was quiet. Bathrooms and showers clean.

We got kicked out of our camping site due to a 2 person site limit (oversight during booking online), however, we were in an RV and didn't expect to go beyond the limit of the parking space, fully self contained. I have 2 small kids, and we never use the camp site area. I understand if we had all our camping gear spread out and intended to use table, fire pit, etc., but non of that. I think under the circumstances we could have been allowed to stay in the parking spot. It was an unfortunate situation and short weekend.

The campground itself is very nice and well-maintained. The camp hosts are top notch. But it's discouraging when the U.S. Forest Service prohibits even propane stoves at the campsites during fire season. As a whole, I think campers are very responsible and aware of the dangers. I can understand prohibiting open campfires at the sites but I don't understand not allowing propane camp stoves. This renders tent campers to eating cold food in a tent - not a great camping experience.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this campsite. Probably our favorite one we’ve stayed at this far. We stayed on the meadow side where it was a little more quiet just because the campsites don’t back up to another. The sites are very spacious with plenty of trees for hammocks and shade! When we arrived, the whole place was immaculate. Big, nice fire pits (with attached grills) were dug out and clean. The bathrooms are cleaned daily and the base of the bike/hiking trail is just at the end of the sites. John, who works there, was super friendly and helpful. During the day he drives around checking on everything, chats with guests and has firewood for purchase in the back of his golf cart so you don’t ever have to leave! We were very very pleased with our stay and will definitely be coming back!!
