I had the misfortune of driving 8.5 hours to the campground only to find my reserved and paid for campsite occupied by a freeloading family. I had the unsavory task of asking them to leave, which they did (after trying to get me to camp somewhere else, or join them). This was no fault of the campground. I did go find the camp host to let them know what was happening and that the family may have this happen again since they were moving to another reserved but empty site. That's when I met Austin, the camp host. Austin did an excellent job of talking with both of us, separately, and was definitely great at calming my nerves. No escalation, we were all grown-ups about it. I just wanted to give Austin the Great Camp Host a shoutout! Thanks Austin! As for the campground itself, there seemed to be enough room at each site to make it comfortable. Campsites were not on top of each other. The one I was in was in the center of a ring, which was fine. I saw the sites that were on the outside of the ring, and they looked really nice, with enough space and privacy. I was in site 22 on the Shady loop.

I enjoyed the Shady loop campsite I stayed at. While cell phone services was limited it also was quiet and a great getaway from work. Good facilities and well maintained. Thanks again!

Campsites were great size though somewhat close together. Everyone including staff and other camp goers were extremely friendly. Camp hosts were always around and easy to find. Process of checking in was smooth and hosts had last second things to buy. Theres a visitors center down the road with good info on hikes - though only open on the weekends. Theres also a small shop down the road with plenty of treats and last second items (even sleeping bags). Hot during the day with some insects and bugs, cooled off nicely in the evening and night (at least in late July). Highly recommend!

The site was good, but at night Two guys were being "intimate" and moaning. Real life broke back mountain. People can do what they want, but no need to be loud, especially when my small children are asking me what's going on. Ruined my families experience.

We always enjoy our camping experience at Laguna meadows campground. We have a senior pass so 1/2 price, which is a real bargain. The only downfall is there is no dump station. We used to use the dump at the Buckman Springs rest area, but it is closed now. We have to go to a private campground and pay to use their dump station. But we liked the quietness of the campground and having an rv with it's own bathroom, so the old style bathrooms that are at the campground we didn't have to use. We always leave the campground rested and relaxed. We camp there 2 to 3 times per year.
