Lovely campground- great for families. The camp hosts were top notch. I loved the meadow area behind the camp ground. The showers need the shady and meadow loops was not in operation so we had to walk about 10 minutes to rhe shower near one of the other loops. This wasnt a big deal for us but may be for some.

We got one of the handicapped sites. We didn’t need it, as we aren’t handicapped. But no handicapped camper needed it so we were able to use it the whole weekend. The camp hosts were very polite about it all and gave us lots of useful information. The concrete sidewalks on the site were very well done and we really enjoyed everything about it!

The young couple hosting this summer (Jesse and gosh I can't remember her name but it will come to me as soon as I hit send) are in the top 10% of hosts we've ever come across. Super helpful, not complainers, and are solution oriented. Hope we get to camp here again this summer.CAUTION: BE CAREFUL DRIVING AROUND THE CAMPSITES. The civil engineers who decided to put 12"x12" posts 8" off the roadway and AT EVERY CORNER TO EVERY PARKING PAD should be taken out in the field and told to back a trailer into every spot. Any damage to trailer comes off their paycheck. We had 3 vehicles out of the 6 in different camp spots for our annual extravaganza damage their RV, van, and a trailer. Well over $3k worth of damage because of some snot nosed punk who has never dug ditches along with their spineless leadership refusing to tell the environmentalists to pack sand. Just look at all the damaged 12"x12" throughout the park and you'll quickly understand the post placement errors made without any thought of risk management.

Super cool place to camp with a great view of the stars at night. Perfect place for biking, hiking, and hanging out for those of us who are outdoorsy. The bathrooms were stellar, especially for being non-flushing. Highly recommend.

Really nice scenery and access to hiking trails. Each campsite has ample space. Only a toilet, no sinks, but the toilets are really well maintained. Loved our experience!

We've been coming to Laguna Campground since the late 60's as kids and have spent countless days enjoying this area. We brought our kids here and now our grand kids. It's great to see the improvements to the park but that it still keeps its charm and "The Great Outdoors" feel. It's great that the smell of the pine trees and oaks are just a 45 minute drive from our home in east county of San Diego. The staff are always nice and very accommodating to your needs, and leave you alone for the most part so you can enjoy your stay. Plus there are showers available at a small cost. Pit toilets have now been replaced with flushing toilets. The new water faucets make it easy to fill your buckets, all the campground roads were repaved, new pylons installed along the roads and most of the firepits have been replaced with new modern desined pits. with swing-out grills so you can easily cook over the open flame of your camp fire. We made steaks and ribs over ours and they were great. The general store is just a few minutes up the road and has just about everything you may have forgotten to bring plus more. There's a nice restaurant as well if you choose to eat out. You can take a short drive into Julian to see the antique shops, get fresh honey and of course "Mom's Apple Pie". Further down the road and your in Santa Ysabel where you must stop at Dudley's Bakery and get some of their great breads and pastries. (Try the coconut Macaroons: Yum!) During the drive there are many road side stops where you get fantastic views of the desert area all the way out to the Salton Sea.Overall this is a great campground for either tents or Camper/trailers as there are spaces that accommodate both.
