Spot 33 is not ideal for trailers or RVs. The beautiful and spacious site is unfortunately on the left side of the vehicle when backed in. Is better suited for tent use or car camping. It is a very nice site otherwise.

Great time good weather. Nice now with new managers, much more relaxed feeling. I didnt camp here for a year because the previous manager over managed the campground and had a power problem.

We booked this camp site because it said there was a fire pit and we could burn wood. When we arrived, unpacked, and set everything up the camp host ranger told us there was a fire restriction and that we could not burn wood, charcoal, or use propane. We were very confused because this site that we booked this spot on did not say anything about a fire restriction. We were camping in a tent and it got as cold as 20 degrees. Do not come here during this fire restriction unless you have an rv because there is no way you can stay warm. We contacted the national park rangers and they said it was due to miscommunication between national parks and this platform. We packed up and left the following day due to the cold. This was unacceptable, a waste of time, and money. We left to William Heiss County Park, where they allowed us to burn wood, had flush toilets, warm showers, and friendly park rangers. It was only 30 minutes away and there was no fire restriction.

No where in the website did it say no campfire since August. Overall the site is wonderful. But at night, it’s hard to adapt to the cold without a fire pit and warmth.

I've lived in San Diego for 30 years and this was my first time camping near Mt. Laguna. Usually, I go to Palomar or Cuyamaca. I should have tried Laguna earlier, This was a great campground. The vault toilets were the cleanest vault toilets I've seen. The regular bathrooms were very clean too. It might seem a minor point but clean bathrooms make a difference. We were on the Shady Loop and the campsites were reasonably separated. I felt we were far enough from others that we had our space. The campground hosts were really friendly. Couldn't be beaten for star grazing. We just took a short hike into the meadow and had an amazing view. I've found my new go-to local camping spot.

We were able to enjoy the wildlife and the trees even on a busy weekend! John, the camp post made it even a better experience! He is an excellent host and so very nice and helpful!

One of the best camping experiences we've had in Southern California. The sites were beautifully maintained, the staff made regular rounds to supply firewood and answer questions, and the bathrooms were cleaner than most hotels. The location of Laguna Camp is terrific. With immediate access to the Meadow Loop Trail, you can be out on a path and away from other campers in less than 10 minutes by foot. Our only regret is that we didn't book more dates when we reserved our site back in February. If you're lucky enough to get a site here, say hi to John at the Host site, he's great.
