This was one of the best trips to Winnie Campground in a long time. The campground host was very nice and hospitable. The camp sites were all mowed and clean. The restrooms were clean, the toilet paper and hand soap were restocked properly. It's too bad about the bears checking out the campsites almost daily during the day time hours. It would be nice to have the poison ivy controlled around the lakeside steps and walking trails. How about cleaning out the boat docking lagoon so it is usable.

Camp sites were the best maintained in at least 15 years. Even the tent pads were cleaned and mowed! The current camp hosts did a great job. The only problem were the all too friendly bears.

This was a very nice experience this year compared to the last 10 years. The best part was having a campground host that was wiling to mow the grass in the camp sites and walking trails. Keeping the grass shorter was beneficial for keeping the mosquitoes and wood ticks down, and pushing the poison ivy away from our legs. A better job still needs to be done about the poison ivy next to the lake access cement steps. There are several down trees that would be available for firewood if we could only use our chainsaws. Our family has been camping annually on Lake Winnie for over 60 years and regard this place as a tradition that started with our Grandfather, Herbert Bartelt in the 1930's. This year we had almost 60 family members there at one time including brothers, sisters, and cousins. How about having a bathroom at the lake's public access? This would be very well used and appreciated by both the fisherman, campers, and hikers. Keep up the good work!

The trip this year wasn't so great as we had LOTS of thunderstorms and huge amounts of rain. Ended up cutting our trip short. It would be nice if the campsites were mowed more frequently - especially #13. This is the site we really like but every year that we get there the grass definitely needs mowing. We love camping at Winnie and will definitely be back again next summer.

Grass had not been mowed for weeks if not longer. Pads for tents in campsites are not being maintained.

Love this campground. Like the size of the campsites and the privacy they provide. Lake sites are awesome. Due to the dry weather this year there was no problem with unmowed grass which we have experienced in the past and this is the main thing I think could definitely be improved upon. Mowed grass in the campsites is a BIG plus in my book. But overall would recommend this campground to anyone who wants to just lay back and relax and listen to the song of the loons.

I have been going to Winni campgrounds this since I was 9. We have been using the West Winni campground for quite some time. The campsite tent pads have not been maintained for quite some time. The grass has not been mowed consistently - we have been bringing our grass cutting tools. Otherwise we love being there - it is tradition for family and friends.

We love camping at Winnie campground. The only thing we would like to see is a little more maintenance as far as mowing the campsites and paths. We will definitely be camping at Winnie again this coming summer.
