Little Oak continues to deteriorate. Lack of attention/staffing from the National Forest Service is very evident. It is disappointing to see such a beautiful park allowed to slowly go to ruin. Campsites are full of litter, fire rings in the loop we camped in have been filled with ashes, nails, aluminum foil as well as unburned trash throughout the season. Campground hosts are a disappointment. They are not visible, or just riding by on the golf cart, not stopping to pick up litter or address concerns. Rules are not inforced for the most part, or worse yet, on the rare occasion they are, it is. "do as I say, not as I do." Campground hosts have their equipment and trailers parked well beyond their "formal site," yet they advise you you can not do it when you have a trailer a foot out of bounds. The next site over, their friends have an overflowing campsite with equipment and 5, yes five cars parked everywhere, not addressed. Loud construction site type generators are allowed, and allowed to run from 7am til 10 pm, ruining everyone elses enjoyment while one camper sites in their trailer watching TV all the while their dog outside is barking non-stop continuously.NFS needs to source campground hosts which care and are expected to perform with law enforcement to back them up. NFS should be consistent with the NPS (both federal agencies) and have uniform policy with regard the allowable noise levels from sources such as generators. NFS needs to have a funding source for occurrences such as storm events which have downed many trees which are scattered throughout Little Oak, blocking the trails and littering the campsites. If necessary, camping rates should be increased to fund the appropriate supervision and services to maintain a positive experience for all.
