Great location and Gary is a great campground host! It's my favorite camping destination.

Campground had large sites. Host rode around a couple times, but no big deal. Never saw a ranger...until I was about to leave. When I was cleaning up to leave, at 0930 on Monday, a ranger knocked on my door. I had put my trash outside my RV as I was finishing up cleaning. I received an $80 fine for it. I explained I was cleaning up to leave and was checking out shortly, and the ranger didn't care in the least, and gave me a fine. I pulled out of my site 30 minutes later.
The town itself has the essentials but it's a 'financially challenged' area, if you will. There wasn't much to see or do in town.
The hike up to Rock Creek Falls was 2.5 miles each way, uphill, with 4 creek crossings. It was 'moderate' for sure.
Majority of the water spigots were not working or did not have threads on them to fill up my fresh water tank upon arrival.
I have a 35' Fifth-wheel and the C loop was tight at the bottom of the loop, with a ditch on either side of the road, on the corner.
There's no printed maps of the park or area. Host told me to look it up online...but there's no Verizon service.
The "swimming area" is literally a water retention pond. I'd NEVER swim in it.
Overall, I highly doubt I'll return, especially after the ranger incident. This was the least desirable CG I've ever been to.

Always clean and quiet. We never have a problem at this campground.

Excellent, quiet campground within Cherokee National Forest. There is no water hookups at individual sites. Arriving campers must fill water tanks at a common spigot. Sites are large and well spaced. Roads are paved, while sites are chipped gravel. There was a boil notice posted during our stay due to a problem with the water system, which the staff was working to fix. Wood thrushes serenaded us during the day with their melodic song, while a whippoorwill flitted through the forest at night with its loud call. The nearby town of Erwin provides historical interest as the original headquarters of the Clinchfield Railroad and the home of Blue Ridge Pottery.
