We were looking for a father and son Fathers Day weekend, and found an excellent tent site at Thunder Rock Campground. We arrived in the dark with rain, but that is camping!! In the morning we had a great view of the Ocoee River, and it was fun to watch rafters come thru throughout the day. The campsite is clean, inviting, has hot showers and great restrooms, and both were very convenient. We highly recommend the campgrounds when tent camping!

Great location right on the river. Very close to hiking. Quiet and peaceful!

Clean facilities, friendly staff, and quiet nights next to the river. Close access to hiking, rafting, zip lining, and much more.

We loved the camp site at Thunder Rock! We'll definitely go back there for Ocoee River camping. Really appreciated it being safe for dogs. It was so fun to be right next to the river!
