I booked a site at Chilhowee for my husband to take my 2-year-old son camping and they enjoyed it immensely. The campground is clean and child friendly. An unruly neighbor was dealt with quickly and professionally. They had every opportunity to be safe and have fun!

We reserved B19 and it was the absolutely perfect spot! Close to the shower house/restroom, which is why I chose it. But it was secluded and surrounded by trees, butted up to a hill. We watched chipmunks and squirrels all day! Also, there was a stream between us and the parking area with a bridge to walk across. The literal only downside was the shower. The water temp was perfect but you couldnt adjust it, even if you wanted to. It has a push button. It stays on for seconds, less than 30 seconds at a time. Makes showering tedious. I finally figured out how to lean my forearm against the button and shower to keep the water steady. We will definitely reserve this spot again!!

The campsite B19 was fantastic! There was lots of space between campsites. The pond had a lot of beach space for how small of was. The trails were very nice and we'll maintained. My son is only 3 and made it to Benton Falls and back with only a little complaining. We really loved the views driving up to the campsite! Pictures hardly do them justice. There were only two things that were a little inconvenient. First, there is only one toilet and shower on the b loop bathroom. Even thought they are separated inside, someone had the entire bathroom locked while showering. Second, if you forget something it is quite a haul to the store and back. It's about an hour turn around to get the the store get what you need and get back. However, even with these minor inconveniences I will definitely be going back!

Lovely campground with lots of trees. I think most campsites were in the shade.

Bathroom showers really need attention but it's a beautiful campground with a beautiful little lake and nice campsites.

Camp sites are well kept & spacious. Great proximity to hiking trails, the lake, & nearby activities! Bathrooms were not great, but pretty standard for campground restrooms. Camp hosts were excellent with updating & cautioning regarding snakes/other wildlife in the area.
