We came to camp and observe the Feast of Tabernacles for the first time and had a wonderful experience! Surprisingly, it was actually pretty nice to "disconnect" (no cell signal whatsoever) and just spend time together as a family, and honor the maker of it all. The Lord is good and He is our provider!

Wonderful little campground. Great hiking and quiet. Being nestled into the hillside was very cozy.

We always have a great time and this year the hosts are awesome unlike the past few years! We unfortunately had a bear issue this go around but the hosts were right on top of getting that issue taken care of as the bear was aggressive. The hosts planned fun stuff for the kids the whole weekend and the bathrooms were cleaner than they have ever been!

Rabun Beach campground is a great place with a lot to be improved. Some improvements have been made. But unfortunately are not to my liking. Example handicapped and child proof campfire rings, similar to a trash burning barrel, are now on many sites. Would be ok if they left the traditional low fire rings too. Or made a rock ring fire place. The reservation system is horrible , no map of the campground, just some generic grid map. I had made a reservation for a camp site weeks in advance. Days before leaving I received a call that the camp site was un available due to power issues. I had to cancel my trip and make reservations for 10 days later. Powered camp sites are at a premium here and fill up with weekend warriors every weekend. Which is good unless you are camping during the week and want to extend your stay. If you want to extend your stay with out internet service, via phone, you are in for a horribly long experience. It took over four hours to get through to recreation .gov. You call and they say the wait is 20 minutes after 20 minutes you are disconnected . Call again same thing this went on 5-6 times. Finally got a message saying leave your number someone will call you back. They did. But had to transfer me to someone else to make a payment. Good thing I am retired and have some precious time to waste.Back before FIND took over it was first come first served with all sites at this campground, which was great and needs to be back.On a positive note, the camp hosts are nice and the showers and restrooms are very clean.
