Nice campsite. Enjoyed the lake. Only a little trash on campsite from previous guests. Bathhouse was old and worn but OK. Leaking toilet supply line causing a puddle. Trash cans sparse around camp. Had to use dumpster?

Looked like a homeless community. U-Haul Van next to Site 8. I'm only 23' and had I been any longer I would not have been able to back into the site; not because it wasn't long enough but because of the road in front of it. Site 8 was rutted and impossible to level up even with 12 blocks. This site should have been a Tent Site only. Camp Host is up a narrow gravel road where you can't see them from the road so you are definitely not going to try to drive up there to discuss any issues. I highly do NOT recommend. Chose to forego the $20 cost and found a wonderful campground instead called Currahee RV Park just 10 miles up the road with full hookups for $30 a night.

Great location on a small intimate lake. I wish we had brought more supplies for fishing. Keep in mind there are only a few launch spots for kayaks and canoes and one was right in front of our campsite. Everyone was very friendly and used the designated paths without going through our site. Site was spacious with plenty of space for multiple tents. Great location to the restrooms!

Site was down slope from road. Not a pull-in site.

Don't waste your time. Neighboring sites are right on top of you. No privacy, none.

Campsites are right on top of one another. This may be the best of the bunch but none are great. Lots of cool spots to camp in Geogia but his was not one of my favorites. Would not camp here again.

We love this campground. While it is humble and has clearly seen better days the area is beautiful.

We have been coming here since the early 70s when the park was the "original" Lake Russell. When the swimming area had kiddie slides, a floating dock out in front of the swimming area you swam too. When you had to take a bath in the lake. You actually had to pump water out of a well on loop C picnic area (now it's a trail to the dam). If you had # 8 site when the "original" Lake Russell was there, it was the best site in the campground. It was on the point, which is just woods now. We had a jon boat that made it a lot easier to get water back to our camp. My brother's, sister's and I where kids at the time. So life happened, we all got older, we had kids, work, etc.. so one day I thought I would return the favor to my dad and start taking him back up to Lake Russell because he was getting up there in age. He always loved it up there. So every October, for the past 15 years, my Brother's, Uncle's, cousin's and now our own son's go back to camp. I think in the early eighties the park change. It became modernerized. Paved roads, new bathrooms with hot water.... Site #33 loop B is the best site now. Seems like the park changes hands a lot on who's running it because some years its really kept up, and some years it's not, but for the last 15 years, overall, it always brings those memories back, and that, is priceless.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
