Morganton Point Campground is a medium sized, wooded campground on a lake in North GA. It is a beautiful location, centralized to everything you want to do near Blue Ridge, Ellijay, and many wonderful places for hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and shopping. The campground has some hills, but all sites are fairly level and private. There are few narrow hilly roads getting to it, scenic. The bathhouse is nice! It looks like new tile. The shower is powerful (good pressure) and warm, but you have to push the button and it lasts approximately 15 seconds at a time to conserve water. It wasn't bad at all. Reserve a spot online and drive straight to your spot and the host will drive around on his golf cart and greet you and sign you in. There is firewood and ice for sale at the campground. All other supplies should be purchased prior to arrival. There is a store about a mile away for snacks, drinks, lighters, gas, etc. We had a large site with a view of the water and a trail leading down to the lake. You will be able to see beautiful sunsets over the mountains from the beach. Our dog loved it there. We love Morganton Point Campground and will definitely return.

Had site #7 small area lakefront, not enough room for fishing but a short walk thru the tent only sites we were able to fish. Host was very nice, brought firewood & car tags to us when we arrived! Sites are spaced decent and everyone we met we super nice. Bathrooms very clean, whole park was super clean! Will definitely be returning as soon as we can get back in! Spots fill up quick & pretty far in advance.

The only important concern is that when I went to the dump station, contrary to normal practice by any camper using the station, the host told me I could not use the nonpotable water to flush out my dark tank before leaving. She said we could not use their water to do that according to forest service. I called the forest service to ask what I am supposed to do when trying to clean the tank before leaving a campground but have not heard from my message left for them.

Spacious campsite with good amount of privacy. Best bathrooms I've seen at a campsite.

Our host was very helpful when we needed to change sites to a larger space to accomodate another Sprinter. We made the switch and were very comfortable. The bath houses were the cleanest that I've experienced in our travels. Thanks!

Camp host very helpful and prompt when we asked to switch to a different site. Campground has a great layout and the rest rooms are heated and clean.

Location with sites shielded well and offering natural views. Hookups are easily accessible and the rest rooms are kept clean. Tends to be busier on weekends and is nice and quiet on weekdays.

Nice campground. #7 set up backward to most campers. Boat dock not good at all. . Hosts not familiar with lake or lake info. But overall, pretty quiet and clean

We loved this site, except for the multi level set up, with the fire pit and picnic table being down a couple of stairs. We pulled in to park so our awning and door was facing the lake, trailer towers dont have this option! There is a short path from this site to a bay and beach to launch the kayak. We were next to tent camping area with few campers, so this felt like our own private beach, which was wonderful! Sunrise over the misty lake in the early morning was wondrous. Great camping experience at Morgantown Pt campground!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Morganton Point Campground on Lake Blue Ridge. Our lakefront campsite was beautiful, shady and spacious. The new heated bathhouse was the best we have ever experienced in a national park campground! Morganton Point is just a few miles from the charming town of Blue Ridge, GA where we enjoyed strolling down the streets exploring local shops and sampling the craft beer at a small brewery, We will return to Morganton Point! Highly recommended.

We love this campground and try to go at least once a year. When the weather is warm, we float the river in kayaks. A trip to Mercers Orchard is also a must for some apple cider donuts.

Water level in the lake is very low in the winter but it was still beautiful. The site was very clean and the bath house was immaculate. We had an amazing time!

Quiet, peaceful, clean. Site 7 very large with nice view of lake and easy access for our kayak. Hope to return.

Excellent site, facilities, and host. We'll maintained and camp sites were spaced out so you had some privacy. We would return if in the area.

One of my favorite spots. The best sites for lake access are tent sites on the peninsula and sites 6 and 7
