Very beautiful place to camp & lake is gorgeous...but if you are camping in spots A-F you need to have a cart of some kind to help bring your stuff in...if not...alot of walking back & forth to bring camping gear in...not easy if you have some heavy stuff like canopies & other supplies beautiful camping spots though & wouldn't hurt to bring a tarp to put under your tent in case of rain ...certain spots in that area collect alot of rain water and leaking into your tent ...other than that will be back to camp but better prepared...if we stay in those spots again

This spot is our home away from home. Peaceful, great water access thats not too busy, and the view is unmatched. Truly a slice of heaven.

I love this site!! The only problem was that we had these obnoxious drunk people next to us that were starting to fight with each other… Alcohol isn’t even allowed… But I love this site enough that I’ll still give 5 star

Campground and sites were very well maintained. The sites are really nice with gravel maintained over the whole site area which is great because it minimizes the amount of orange clay that gets tracked in your camper or tent. Also there's no garbage on the ground anywhere to be found, which I learned after sending my kids on a "leave it better than you found it" mission. The lake is unmatched, in my opinion, whether swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, or boating. Despite the bathrooms not being up to their normal standard of cleanliness on this trip, I'll definitely go back to camp again and I would highly recommend the experience to anyone looking at Morganton Point Campground.

We stayed in the walk-in tent sites. Great views, right on the water, very quiet. The bathrooms were probably the nicest, cleanest, newest I've seen in a campground. The hosts were friendly and were nice enough to clean our site of leaves and pine straw before we arrived. The squirrels are very bold, snuck our hotdog buns away when we made a trip to the restroom. Overall great sites and good location.

This place is AMAZING. I have been here several times and will continue to come back. The campsite amenities are great. The fire pit setup is perfect. The bathrooms are cleaner and nicer than anywhere else. Love love love this place.
